"We will take care of the Abnormals. You need to see a paramedic." Another boy wearing cloths similar to Lucas's said.

"Here, take this Quin." Lucas handed me the knife that pierced my side. I closed my eyes and fell asleep. I saw myself and Lucas fighting alongside each other. I expected to see us fighting the green woman but instead I saw a man. He was wearing all black and he had a belt with knives on it.

"Hey Quin, guess what?" Adon walked over fiddling with an arrow "I have a cool name too! I'm going by Ace because I am good with arrows, guns, knives, darts." He chuckles lightly. He then turned his attention to me. His face turned as white as a sheet when he saw the guy in black.

"Back story time!" The boy cheered.

"No Jax." Ace demanded. Had sat down and pulled out what looked like a children's book.

"Four score and seven years ago... Well maybe just ten years ago. I lived in Jackson's orphanage for boys. When I was give I met two boys who-"

"You made it into a children's book?" Ace asked petrified.

"If you interrupt again I will put you in the time out chair," Jax snapped pointing a knife at him then continued "I meet two boys who became like brothers to me. One was ten and one was twelve." I was listening closely as he said those words. Ace was obviously one of the boys but who was the other one? "I thought that our bond would last forever but something happened. Caleb Jackson, the founder of our orphanage, gave the three of us a choice. One of us could receive his fortune after his death if they won a game. Of course, I was only a child so I couldn't compete. Jackson loved a bit of drama so he had them shoot to be the heir. Of course we know who won!" Lucas and I looked at Ace who looked like terrible. You could see shadows on his face that made the curves in his cheeks stand out. He looked as if the energy were drained out of him.

"Liam won." He muttered.

"Hey no spoilers!" Jax yelled angrily "the British boy pulled his arrow back then let it go and you could head it whizzing in the air. Kathunk, it hit its target!"

"Kathunk?" I asked.

"Yes, I know I was five but my memory is perfect. It sounded just like that. Then Liam received the inheritance and went off with Adon. They left me in the orphanage alone." He finished.

"We were kids! I had to go! Jackson said that he wanted to train us, he couldn't train you!" Ace explained.

"Why did he take you? You didn't win!" Jax asked.

"Because I had potential!" He explained.

"No bother. I am not upset about that. I made my own fortune." He crossed his arms.

"By stealing."

"Stealing hearts." Jax winked at me. I pretended not to notice, thinking he has something in his eye.

"Okay... That's new. Get out of here Jax." Ace ordered.

"Fine. Jax with a 'z' is out." He winked again. I turned to Lucas and it looked like he was going to throw up.

"What's wrong?" I asked worried. He looked pale and sickly. His facial expressions changed quickly almost giving away his thoughts. For some reason he was scared of Jazz, terrified in fact.

"I... It's.. There is nothing to worry about." He faked a smile.

"You are terrified of him." I muttered sympatheticly.

"Look, Q, I don't want to talk about it." He pushed me away.

"You've got to work on your nicknames." I snickered.

"Well what do you want me to call you?" He questioned. He had what looked like ash in his hair that fell out as he talked.

"Well I don't know, Quin?" I asked sarcasticly

"But you aren't Quin." He replied.

"What do you mean?" I snapped. I could feel my face getting red with anger. Quin was the only thing I had before my memory wipe, I didn't want to give that up.

"No," he sighed "that was the you before you became who you are."

"What?" I asked confused.

"Quin is the dark side of you. Now you are a hero, I will work on a new nickname for you." He grinned and jogged away.
