Randy wasn't going back to work for a while because he wanted to stay home with me. I was okay with it. I mean, after all, I did want him there with me when I had the baby and a little bit after considering I was about to pop any day now.
Today we had an appointment with our OBGYN. It was our last appointment before the baby made her appearance so I was gonna see what was taking so long.
I got up and out of bed before taking a quick shower. When I was done I got dressed into a black and grey dress. My stomach definitely popped out when I wore it. When I was done, I put my hair up in a high ponytail with my bangs pushed over to the side. I didn't feel like getting all dolled up today but wearing dresses were the only comfortable things right now.
I wobbled out of the bedroom, downstairs and into the kitchen where Randy was making breakfast. He was such a sweet guy. "What's this?" I asked with a hint of a smiled on my face.
"Well, considering you are getting really uncomfortable lately and beating me up in your sleep trying to find a place to sleep, I figured the least I could do is take at least one thing off your hands. How did you sleep?" he asked.
"Not good. I feel weird today and it started last night. I don't know what it is." I said.
"Well, what do you mean? Do you think something's wrong?"
"No. No. I don't think anything's wrong. I just feel weird today."
"Okay. Well you can ask the doctor when we go in." he said.
"Yeah." I got up and walked over to him snaking my arms around his waist. He turned around and held me in his arms. "Do you still love me?"
"Of course I do. Why would you ask that?"
"Because I look a huge balloon." I said.
"Oh don't be silly. You look beautiful. You always do."
I smiled at him. "Thank you." I said. I kissed him and then let him get back to cooking while I sat at the table looking at my phone. Roman had texted me saying that they were in St. Louis for Smackdown and and they wanted to stop by after the show. I texted him saying that we would love the company. "So, people from work are coming over tonight."
"Oh yeah? They're here in the city aren't they?" he asked.
"Yeah. For Smackdown."
"Do you wanna go?"
"I don't know. I think it might be too much for the baby. I don't think I could handle it."
"Okay. It's up to you. We don't have to go."
"I mean, I do but I don't. I'll let you know later." I told him.
He chuckled. "Okay." He put food on plates and brought them over to the table. It was a nice breakfast. Pancakes, bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. It looked like a lot but it was Randy and he loved this breakfast. It was his favorite. He poured Orange Juice for both of us and we began eating

Randy and I made it to the doctor's around eleven and walked in. The nurse called us back pretty quickly and they began their normal routine of checking me over. I told them that I felt a little weird today and the doctor decided to check me.
"Okay, so it looks like you're about three centimeters dilated. One more centimeter and your water will break. So we're gonna admit you and we just wait. congratulations your baby will be here before you know it." she said.
I smiled and looked at Randy who was also smiling. We were going to meet our baby either tonight or tomorrow. I was so happy.

I was sitting in the hospital bed, in a hospital gown and watching TV. I was so bored. Randy had stepped out to get something to eat. I had already eaten and the hospital food sucked but at least it was something.
When Randy returned there was nurses in the room checking on me. I was only at five centimeters in the last two hours. This was going to be a long night. After the doctors left, Randy sat down in the chair beside the bed. I looked at him and gave him a small smile.
"How are feeling baby?" he asked.
"I feel fine. I just wish this didn't have to take so long. And these contractions are horrible." I said.
"I know. But I'm right here." he said.
"I know." I said. "Have you called our parents? Our friends?"
"Not yet. I figured I would when it gets closer. I didn't think you'd want a huge crowd here right now."
"Yeah. Well as slow as this is going, it's gonna be a long time before I'm even ready to have this baby." I said.
"I know. But I'll be right here with you and whenever you want your mom or anyone else you just tell me and I'll call them."
"You know, I thought that this would be something I'd need my mom for but I have you and nobody could get me through this as good as you are. I love you and you are all I need right now." I told him.
"Okay." he said.
I had another contraction and squeezed Randy's hand while I screamed.
"Breathe baby. It's okay. Just breathe. You're doing great." he said trying to soothe me. It worked. I know a lot of people say that when you're in labor you wanna kill your husband for being annoying and being the one that did it to you but at this moment, there's no other voice I would rather hear more than Randy's. I loved that he was there with me and I loved that he was so caring and kind and loving through all of this. I couldn't have asked for a better man than him.
Around seven o'clock in the evening, Randy started calling our families because I was at nine centimeters. He even called people from work like Roman, our bosses, Dean, the girls, all of our friends. It was nice that they were so supportive. Some of them couldn't come until after work but they said they'd be here after.
I was wanting to go to sleep. I was so tired right now. All of the contractions take a lot of you as a person. Randy was sitting there just looking at his phone and checking on me every once in a while.
When the nurse came back in to check me, I was at ten centimeters. "Okay. It's time to push. Are you ready?" the nurse asked.
I nodded. "Yeah. I've been ready." I said.
More nurses and a doctor came in and got everything ready to go. Randy stood up by me and grabbed my hand.

One hour of pushing and eventually I heard the cry of our baby girl. I looked at Randy and he was just staring at her with such adoration and pride. I smiled and looked at her too. They handed her to me and I felt a tear roll down my cheek. "Oh my god. She's so beautiful. Hi baby girl." I said. I looked at Randy and he was smiling down at me. "What do you think we should name her?"
"I thought you already had a name picked out?" he asked.
"Yeah. I did. But I think you should pick." I told him.
"Hope. I think her name should be Hope Marie Orton." he said.
"Hope. I like that name." I said.
I handed Hope over to Randy and he just held her so gracefully and carefully like she would break if he moved. But he looked so natural holding her. I loved it.
"Hi Hope. It's daddy. I love you." he said.
I smiled at them and just sat there watching them together. It was the perfect picture.
Everybody stopped in to see her throughout the night until visiting hours were over. They all adored Hope and they awed over her. It was amazing.
Once everybody left it was just Randy, myself and our daughter. I was so tired and I think Randy realized that because he walked over to me and took Hope in his arms after kissing my head. "Go ahead and sleep baby. I got her." he told me.
I nodded and then smiled before I went right to sleep.
