The next morning I woke up at around 10am, did my morning routine and went down to the breakfast nook to grab a bowl of cereal. I turned on the T.V. in the kitchen and watched BET while I mucnhed of fruit loops. Another note lay on the marble island. It read "Went on a last-minute cruise to Florida with Joseph. Love you lots, be good -Mom". I rolled my eyes, and crumpled the note. I mean I didn't really care that she wasn't around, but a good-bye in person would have been nice. I padded over to the living room to start watching a movie. Before I could fire up netflix, my phone rang. I answered it and was surprised by Jaden smooth voice answering me back. "Hi, I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out today? I hope it's not too early.." he said. "No, it's not too early, when did you want to hang out, becasue I may or may not still be in pajamas." I replied. "I was thinking like.. now. I'm at your front door, open up". I walked to the front door doubtfully and creaked it open to find Jaden dressed and ready at our welcome mat. I let him in of course, and as he removed his shoes, he looked me head-to-toe and smirked. "Nice pigtails and pajamas," he said, grinning wickedly, "very cute,". I stuck my tongue out at him, and answered "Yeah, whatever". "Where are we going?". "Well, we're going to the studio, I want to spit a little then we can go do something exciting. How does that sound?", he asked. I agreed immediately, I had only been in a studio a few times and never a music recording studio. I went up stairs to change and told Jaden  to wait in his car. When I enetered his car, he didn't even wait for me to put on my setabelt before he pulled out of my driveway and sped off towards L.A. traffic. We reached the studio at around noon and I got to hang out in the booth while Jaden did his thing. He did some of his songs that I knew, to warm up his voice. For the whole hour we were in the booth, Jaden asked for my opinions on everything. I told him what I liked, what I didn't like and what I thought was going to be a hit.

It was almost ! and I was getting pretty hungry. "Where do you want to go eat?" he asked as we were getting in his car again, to which I replied, "In-and-Out! I'm craving a burger". He smiled while adjusting his mirror, "It"s very refreshing to be with a girl in Los Angeles who isn't a vegetarian or a vegan," he said. I smiled back then turned my head to look at the city as we drove by. Jaden's phone rang, which was connected to his car, so pretty much, the whole car rang. He pushed one of the stereo buttons and said "It's Jay". Mateo's voice boomed back, "Jay, what up man? You'll never guess who I'm with! Carly, the blonde from the your parents' christmas party!". Carly's femine voice oozed through the speakers, "Hi Jaden". I turned to Jaden and raised my eyebrows at him, but he just shrugged a little and looked embarassed. "Uh.... Hey there," he answered back awkwardly. Mateo's voice went from booming to barely there, and he whispered "You remember man? She's the one who came back to the hotel with us in New York," he laughed hard, "You know, the one with the big fat a-". Jaden cut him off immediately with a loud "Man," he continued, "I'm being a terrible tour guide, I've got Maia in the car so I gotta go". Mateo was quiet for a bit and then said, "Okaayyyy, I got you man, Hi Maia". But before I could say anything back, Jaden hung up. "Carly" huh? There's two things guys like, blondes and bubble butts. I decided not to be weird about it, because, well, I had no right to be; we were "friends" after all. We pulled into the nearest In-and Out and Jaden pulled up his hood and told me to put on my sunglasses.  "Why?" I asked, putting on my sunglasses and shaking out my hair. "Because," he said, "The papz have been tailing us for 45 minutes, right from out of Calabasas. Why do you think I'm always driving so fast?". How had I not noticed? This is actually kind if awesome, maybe I'll get my picture taken and on a blog or something. I looked outside the window and there were quite a few vans parked around us, and as soon as Jaden stepped outside, the paparazzi swarmed him. At least 25 different people with cameras were screaming "Jaden". He ignored them and walked over to open up the car door for me. We walked briskly towards the doors, I looked at Jaden's face and it was expressionless, but I couldn't help but smile. I had always wanted to be paparazzi worthy and now it was kind of happening. This is also the moment I realized that I was friends with one of the hottest teen celebrities in the world. In Calabasas, it hadn't really sunk in, but here, in L.A. where everyone was obsessed, it was evident. "Who's the girl Jaden!?! What about Kylie?! Hey girl! give us a smile!!" were shouts that I had heard while making our way to the doors. I took a look back, smile clear on my face, This was too cool! When we got inside the fast food place, Jaden's body guard came out of no where to stop the photographers at the door. We ate inside, and ignored the people outside the windows the best we could. "This is surreal," I said, "How is this your life?". He took another big bite out of his burger and with a relatively full mouth he sai "Yeah, it's pretty crazy, I like 'basas because it's a little less crazy. You're handling it really well though." I shrugged and stole a fry of his tray.

Jaden took me sight-seeing in Hollywood. We did the whole tourist thing and even played hide-and-seek with the papz. It was weird constantly having my picture taken, but it was pretty fun. I got a bunch of cheesy photos of us in stupid hats and next to tourist attractions. All in all, it had been a great sunday, so when Jaden invited me to his house the next weekend, I didn't think I could get happier. "We're having a fancy dinner to celebrate my dad investing in this new movie and he told me to bring a friend. So you wanna go? On friday we'll have the stylist come over and have you fitted for a dress and then on Saturday you'll be picked up, driven over, and you'll make a wonderful impression. They'll be a few casting directors there," he said, looking like an eager puppy. "You had me at 'stylist', I'm down," I said with a grin. "Great! It's a date!".
