*******Harper********

I groaned as a knock sounded from downstairs followed by someone impatiently ringing the doorbell way too damn much. I rolled over, hitting my hardwood floor with a thud. I cursed, standing up, and rubbing my black, lace covered butt as I made my way down the stairs. "Someone better be dying if you fucking woke me up this damn early." I was wrapped into a huge hug, my feet lifting off the ground. "Morning, Slash."

"Morning, Giggles." He set me down, calling me by the nickname he gave me when we were kids. "Not even in town for a day and already you're tying my boy all in knots."

"Don't know what you mean?" I tried playing it off but he gave a look.

"Bullshit," he smirked wickedly at me. "And you know it."

"How's you're sister doing?" I changed the subject to Nova.

"She's doing better, loving college." We walked into my kitchen and he looked around to see it completely trashed. "Doing some remodeling I see."

"It was time for a change." I shrugged, grabbing a bottle of orange juice from the fridge and drinking it from the bottle.

"Not like I wanted any." Slasher deadpanned and I smiled. "A change... That why you dyed your hair and got a tattoo?"

"And my belly button pierced." I smiled as he shook his head. "Look, when I left I needed to find out who I was. I didn't want to be my father's punching bag or Pierce's hopeless third wheel anymore."

"You weren't his third wheel, Harper." Slasher shook his head.

"Yea, well, I sure as hell wasn't anything else." I sighed, hating how pathetic I truly sounded.

"You're just as dense as he is." Slasher rolled his eyes and I tilted my head at him. "Never mind, get dressed, we're going out."

"Slasher..." I whined not wanting to go anywhere.

"No, Harper Lynn Smith, get you're ass in gear and let's go." Slasher was minutes away from picking me up and carrying my upstairs so I did what was best for my health and went upstairs. I changed into ripped, black shorts, a cream, cut off, fringe tank top, and a pair of black converse. I put on mascara before pulling up my hair and twisting it so it was off my neck. I ran back downstairs after grabbing my keys, phone, and headphones. "That was like fifteen minutes, I thought girls took hours to get ready?"

"Would you like me to prolong the wait then?" I teased, acting as if I was going to walk back up the stairs.

"No!" Slasher grabbed my wrist and spun me towards the door as I laughed. "Let's go, Giggles." We walked across to my truck and climbed in.

"Why'd you bring your bike if you know I can't ride it?" I asked as I looked at him stupidly. It wasn't that I couldn't ride, I could since I was sixteen, but to ride on the back of one of their bikes means that they own you. For The Hellhounds only their old lady's could ride on the back of their bikes.

"Wasn't thinking," he rubbed the back of his neck. "It's just... Pierce is riding my last nerve. Him and his pissy attitude need to stop."

"Why is he in such a bad mood?" I asked curiously as Slasher pointed me towards the highway.

"You," I was surprised by his answer and almost crashed because I slammed on my brakes. Cars zoomed past, honking and cursing at me as I apologized profusely. Slasher thought all of this was hilarious.

"This isn't funny," I glared but he didn't listen. "Don't make be break out you're real name, Slash." That shut him up pretty quickly and I smiled in triumph.

"I hate you, you know." He pouted like a five year old and I laughed.

"No you don't." He shook his head, and we continued driving until we pulled off on to the exit for Hilton College. "No freaking way!" We parked outside a coffee place and Nova stood, with purple hair and black rimmed glasses, in front of the window. I jumped out of the car and tackled my old friend in a hug.

"I missed you so much, Lynn." She smiled as she used my middle name.

"I missed you too, Anne." I used her middle name as well then looked over my shoulder to a smiling Slasher. "Thanks." She looped arms with me and we walked into the coffee shop, Slasher walking across the street to the auto parts store. We sat down after giving our orders to the barista.

"So, my brother tells me that you have Pierce wrapped around your finger again." She wiggled her eyebrows at me and I rolled my eyes. Nova was two years younger then Slasher, Pierce, and I but she was my best friend.

"Hardly," I gave a second thought to what she said. "And I never had him wrapped around my finger."

"Oh my, Slash was right, which is rare." We both chuckled at this. "You are dense, too."

"Please explain because Slash didn't." I groaned, our coffee coming over and being set in front of us.

"You two love each other." Nova took a sip of her coffee and I choked on mine.

"What?" I croaked, some coffee still stuck in my lungs.

"Yep," she set her cup down gently. "But you're both too stubborn to realize it."

"I call bullshit on this one." I shook my head, my fingers dancing around on the table.

"Call bullshit all you want but it's true." She shrugged, "He sees it in Pierce and I see it in you."

"Can we talk about something else?" I huffed and she nodded, sighing as she let the topic slip. "How's college going?"

"Good!" She smiled happily, "Although I switched my major three times. And I miss everyone, including Cody."

"I bet you do." I smiled at her and she smacked my shoulder. She's been in love with Cody since he started as a prospect for the club. "What are you majoring in now?"

"Anthropology," she said it like it wasn't some huge deal. It was a hard field, something I knew she'd be good at if she loved it enough.

"Do you like the classes so far?" I inquired and I could see her eyes light up.

"I love them," she gushed, telling about all that she's done so far. "And my professors are great. What about you? How was college?"

"It was an experience I'll never forget." I smiled, hiding the slight frown with a sip of coffee. I loved college and being a psychologist had always been my dream. But not everything about college was a dream...

"Any boys?" She asked almost like she was worried I would say yes.

"No," I rolled my eyes, only one came to mind but he wasn't someone I was interested in. "Why worried Pierce has to fight?"

"No," she laughed as she shook her head. "I have no doubts that you two will work it out."

"You're really full of it, you know?" I joined in on her laughter and I didn't realize until now how much I really missed my friend.
