*******Harper*****
I woke with Pierce's arms wrapped around my waist and the sunlight shining through the curtains. I laid there, listening to his even breathing and feeling his steady heart beat under my palm. Pierce looked peaceful when he slept, almost like he didn't have a care in the world. I traced circles on his chest with my finger, calming what was left of panic inside of me. I couldn't believe that the bastard found me, I didn't know how. Last I heard he was being held in Cranberry Penitentiary for five years with no possibility of parole. It didn't add up, his sentence would've ended in two years, not this year. "How are you feeling?"
"Tired," I sighed, liking how his fingers grazed against my arm. "I rode on the back of your bike."
"Yes, you did." He smiled at me as he pulled me closer. "You sure you're okay?"
"A little shaken up but I'll be fine." I brushed a strand of his hair out of his eyes. "So, I had a weird conversation with your mom the other day."
"Really?" He smiled, "What about?"
"She asked if I was sleeping you with." His entire face went pale and I couldn't help but laugh. "Seriously, sleeping with you seriously."
"And what you say?" He whispered, kissing the tip of my nose.
"I told her to ask you." I drew circles on his chest, not looking into his eyes. "To be honest, Pierce, I'm not sure what this is." I sat up, grabbing the extra clothes from my night bag and slipping on a pair of jeans. I pulled the shirt I wore to bed over my head and Pierce pulled me on to his lap.
"I know exactly what this is." He whispered, playing with my hair. "I didn't just forget a truck on my way to you, I didn't get one on purpose. I want you, Harper, and not just in my bed, which you're going to be." He kissed my chest, the only layer covering me was my pink bra. I smiled as he kissed up my neck. "I want you in my life, Harper. I want to be able to take you out and hold your hand." He intertwined his fingers with mine before kissing the top of my hand. "I want you, Harper."
"So, does that mean I get a seat on your bike?" I smiled and he chuckled against my neck.
"Yes, that's what it means." I cupped his face in my hands and kissed his lips.
"Well, good," I climbed off of him and pulled on a t-shirt. "Because I might of kicked your ass and killed a bitch."
"Do I hear a hint of jealousy in your voice, Miss Smith?" Pierce teased as he stood, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"No," I kissed his cheek. "It's more like possessive. I'm very territorial over what's mine." I wrapped out of his grasp, walked downstairs, and out to see Slasher and the woman I applied for a job, who happened to be a friend from college, arguing. "Slash! It's fine! This is Avery Summers." Slasher glared at the woman who stuck her tongue out at him, ever the mature one, and came walking over to me.
"Are you alright?" She asked as she gave one last glare at Slasher. "I saw your truck then this bozo wouldn't answer any of my questions when he drove it here. Is he always a dick or did I just catch him on that time of the month?"
"Seriously? You're the psycho who followed me here then yelled at me because I wouldn't let you into a place you had no right to be in!" Slasher huffed like a child.
"Shove it up your ass!" Avery growled, whipping her platinum hair in his face. "You should've told me he got out." Her focus now back on me and not the pissed off biker behind her.
"I didn't know he did." I shook my head, "I was just on my way to see you, Aves."
"I'm calling Det. Harluck." She was starting to act like the uncontrollable friend I knew in college and less like the professional Director of Psychology and Staff at the local hospital here in town.
"Avery!" I clasped my hands over her's, making sure her she didn't dial the phone. "Stop for a second, please." I couldn't help but laugh as my friend took calming breaths. She always got so worked up about things, she was a good friend though and helped me move from my first college.
"Sorry," she sighed, pulling me into a hug. "You know how I get. Especially after a dickhead yells at me for nothing." Slasher was about to say something but I held up my finger at him, his mouth closing instantly.
"Yes, yes, I do." We pulled a part just as Pierce came walking out. "Avery and I are going to grab a bite to eat."
"Not without someone," Pierce folded his arms over his chest, giving a no nonsense glare.
"Pierce..." I whined, hating that I needed a babysitter.
"No," he walked up to me, running his finger over my cheek. "I don't want you to get hurt. So please, take either a prospect or Slasher. I have to go out to a meeting, I'll be back later tonight."
"Okay," I whispered, kissing his palm. "Let's go, Slash!"
"Do we have to bring him?" Avery whined and I laughed, looping my arm around her's.
"He's not that bad, Aves." I chuckled and she grumbled under her breath.
"Well, you're not that great either, sunshine." Slasher hissed and I had to stop Aves from turning to him.
"Would you two stop?" I shook my head, "We're gonna take Avery's car, you gonna follow behind?"
"Yep," he gave me a quick hug. "And Hog just volunteered to ride the front."
"Why the sudden need for two escorts?" I asked as Avery got in and started her car.
"Because Pierce let you ride on the back of his bike," he threw his leg over his own Harley. "Which means you might as well be his Old Lady, Giggles."
