I have nothing to apologize for, just so you know.

My brother's wedding was coming up, and I was not happy. I know, I know, 'It's your brother's wedding be happy, be proud.'

No just no.

First let me just get three things straight.

1: I'm his baby sister, (I know seven years might be a bit of a stretch."

2: The girl he's marrying is a jerk.

3: Did I mention she's a jerk?

My big brother happened to be in my room (he moved into a flat with Adeline, his fiancé,but he was there for the morale support from my mom.), creepily looking at pictures of him and I, that I had on my book shelf, all misty-eyed.

"Caleb, why are you even marrying her?" I said, annoyed

He seemed slightly taken aback"Um, she's my fiancé." Caleb said, back turned to me.

"But she's trash." I said pacing behind him

"No she's not." He snapped, turning around to face me.

"You only think that because you haven't seen her drunk, it's creepy, man." I

had stopped pacing and my hands were crossed.

"She doesn't drink anymore." He said, with a creepy air of calmness

Man, he has some serious mood swings.

"Okay but she's creepy, and she's mean to me." I reasoned

Okay, I might have fibbed a bit

"Name one time when Adeline was mean to you." He snapped

"Well, never, but she's always all over you at parties." I said

"Cecil she's my fiancé! And you better have that toast ready!"He yelled

"There shouldn't even be a toast! Like I said Adeline gets creepy when she's drunk!"I retorted

"No excuses! Toast!"He said angrily

"You're my brother! You can't boss me around." I said

Caleb stepped it of the room"Mom! Cecil says she isn't writing a toast!"  Caleb called into the hall.

"Tell her she has to!" My mom yelled back

Hey, I did the toast at least.

The ceremony was in an ancient church that smelled like egg salad, but then again it might have been some random baldish guy sitting next to me. Mom said for me to call him "Uncle", but that's not important

The after party, or whatever, was in a lodge, a space that Adeline rented out. The big fluffy white chairs, and linoleum, went great together, I thought

The clinking of champagne glasses filled the room, and I stood up, a huge grin spread on my thin lips. I waited until all eyes were on me, grabbed the microphone and I started to do the pettiest thing I had ever done in my life.
