I walked into the school the wearing my cheer outfit. We have practice during P.E class and lunch, then a game later tonight. I'm the captain, so I pretty much need to be there. I walked over to my locker and opened it, taking out my thick Chemistry textbook. "Damn, you can really turn a guy on with that uniform," some chuckled in my ear. Kyle.

"Get a life," i mumbled quietly that he didn't hear me, but i hoped he did.

"Can't wait to see you cheer for me in that little skirt," he said. What a pig.. Doesn't he know i cheer for the team? not just him. What a creep..

"Kyle, I'm going to be late for class," i said.

"Okay," he said, throwing his hands up. "See ya', babe," he winked and walked away. Babe? Really? Ugh. I walked inside the chemistry lab and sat down next to Angie, who is also my partner for this class. It's fun having your best friend as a lab partner.

When class was finally over, we all went to the gym for a "big announcement." I walked next to Angie and Melanie. Melanie is my co-captain for the cheer team. "What do think this 'big announcement' is about?" Melanie asked.

"Maybe someone took a shit in Mr. Higgins' office again," Angie said, making us laugh. Yeah, but the whole school got in trouble for that one since the person who did it didn't step up. Our prom was cancelled because of that..

The gym had three sections of bleachers on each side, but during announcements, we're all forced to sit on one side. When Angie, Melanie and I walked inside, everyone began to sit on the sides, leaving the center section alone. Well, that's because the jocks decided that they own it. It was Andrew, Kyle and their rest of the foot ball team sitting there, and even some of my cheer team. "Let's go sit with the rest of them," Angie said, linking our arms and dragging me with her. I caught a glimpse of Justin sitting on the first row of left side of the bleachers. Anglie let go of my arm as we sat down.

"Uh, Angie," I said, "I'm going to go sit over there today," I quickly got up and left before she could argue. I walked over to Justin, he quickly looked up. "This seat taken?" I asked him. He rapidly swayed his head from side to side. I smiled and sat down. "Where's Luke?"

"H-he didn't c-come today," Justin responded. I nodded and looked at the people around me. I was getting weird stares.. Yeah, i didn't sit in the center bleachers, get over it!

"Are you coming to the game tonight?" I asked Justin.

"I don't r-really go to t-them," he responded.

"Well you should come today. It's the last home game."

"I-I'll think a-about it.."

"Students!" Mr. Higgins said trying to make everyone be quiet. "Hello everyone! Please settle down, I just want to get to it so we can all leave." Talking and yelling turned into murmurs and whispers. "Thank you, okay, well i bet you are all wondering what the announcement is. Well, i have decided to forgive you and put the whole 'pooping in my office thing' in the past. Okay, what I am trying to say is.. Prom is scheduled for May thirty-first!" he yelled into the mic. Seniors and Juniors began cheering.

I smiled. Yes! We got our prom back! I've always wanted to go to prom, i didn't get to go last year.. I got invited by a few guys, but i had to say no to each of them. My mom thought i was still to young to go to prom with a date, so I just decided to not go at all. I mean what's a prom without a date!? "Yeah, okay, settle down again," Mr. Higgins continued. "Social committee, please get to it! We have two weeks everyone! Start getting dates!"
