I yawned loudly, stretching out my arms and rolling off my bed. I lay on the floor for a moment, looking towards the ceiling. It wasn't pretty or nothing, it was just white. Pasty. Boring. Sighing, I heaved myself up and gathered my stuff for school. If only the year consisted of more weekends. Just so that I could get started on what I wanted to get started on. God, I wish summer was longer.

"Jonathan, you're gonna be running late if you don't get your ass downstairs right now." I heard my mother say.

Growling, I shoved more school stuff into my bag. "Yeah, I know, I'm coming." I yelled.

Slinging my bag over my shoulders, I went downstairs and waited outside. The bus rumbled close and I hopped down my front steps towards it. When it stopped I got on and plopped down in one of the seats in the middle, quickly plugging in headphones and selecting one my favourite songs.

*Fifteen minutes later*
As the bus shook to stop at my high school, all the older students got off and entered the school like tired, mindless, zombies.
I pulled out my headphones as I neared the door. Ryan leaned against the wall closest to the door. Eyes half open, a yawn coming through. Pajama pants and a random shirt, bag on the ground.
I approached him.

"It's like the second week of school and everyone already looks dead." I sighed.

"A full night of gaming and an already corrupted sleep schedule." Ryan yawned. "Will make a great day of learning."

He winked at me and I sighed again.

"Not my fault." I answered.

"Of course." Ryan said. "Of course."
