Three.Sabrina sighed, wiping her tears from her cheeks. She had been crying for the last hour about being suspended. She knew this would go on her permanent record and she knew it would affect her getting into her dream college. NYU. Sabrina's mom — Debbie — wouldn't be able to pay for her college tuition for all four years so that meant she had to get a scholarship. Sabrina never really got anytime for herself because she was always out doing school work. She even stopped the one thing she loved doing dearly just for school. And that was making YouTube videos.
The sound of Kevin and the rest of the boys walking through the front door snapped Sabrina out of her thoughts. The boys spotted Sabrina on the couch, who was staring at a black tv, and sat next to her. She smiled weekly at them.
"What happened?" Kevin asked immediately.
"Someone wrote on schools property with spray paint, a couple days ago. And they used my initials." Sabrina replied.
"But a couple days ago, you were editing your last YouTube video," Devin stated.
"I know but they don't believe me at all," Sabrina shrugged. "It's whatever though."
"No, it's not whatever, Sabrina. This can go on your permanent record and then you won't be able to get into NYU." Daniel explained. Sabrina's heart skipped a beat at how concerned he was for your future.
"I know," Sabrina sighed sadly. Tears started brimming in her eyes. "I'm gonna go upstairs."
Before any of them could say anything, Sabrina jumped from the couch, walking towards her room. She heard footsteps behind her as she walked up the stairs. She stopped and turned around making that person stop too.
"Daniel, I said it's whatever." Sabrina huffed.
Daniel rolled his eyes. "But I said, it's not whatever. I know how much getting into NYU is for you. And it sucks that you have to pay the price of suspension for something you didn't even do. I want to be there for you, so just let me, please."
"Okay, okay, you can be there for me. Just don't make a big deal out of it 'cause then I'm going to end up losing my mind." Sabrina smiled softly at the boy.
Daniel brought Sabrina into his, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her forehead. "I love you, best friend."
Sabrina felt a small pain in her chest at the phrase 'best friend'. She couldn't help but tear up at that.
"Right, best friend." Sabrina muttered.
