Six.
Sabrina changed from her hospital gown into the sweats and jacket from her bag. Uriah had left home because he had class early in the morning. Kevin ended up having to carry Sabrina out on her back after Mama Alston sighed her release papers. Mama Alston drove to the nearest Mexican shop and order Carne Asada Fries for the four of them before heading back home.
As she walked into the house, Sabrina jumped, almost dropping her food as someone wrapped their arms around her head and laying it on their shoulder. "Dear child, thank god you're okay."
"Thanks, Jasmine." Sabrina laughed. She pulled back from the hug. "And never call me child, I'm older than you."
"By a year." Jasmine scoffed.
"But I'm still older than you, right?" Sabrina asked with a raised eyebrow. Jasmine huffed while nodded. "That's what I thought."
Sabrina laughed before walking into her room with Jasmine following after her. "Hey, I can have some of your food, right?" Jasmine asked as they sat on her bed.
"Sure," Sabrina nodded. They both sat in silence as they continued to devour the fries. Suddenly there was a flash on Sabrina and she looked up at Jasmine, who had taken the picture. The picture was of her with some fries hanging from her mouth.
"No, don't post that!" Sabrina shrieked.
Jasmine laughed. "Too late. And if you try and delete it from your snapchat, I'll post it on mine since I sent the picture to me."
Sabrina rolled her eyes. She noticed that Jasmine's face morphed from her laughing face to a very worried face.
"What's wrong?" Sabrina asked.
"What? What do you mean?" Jasmine stammered.
"Your hands are shaking, why?" Sabrina raised her eyebrows. Jasmine looked down at her shaking hands before she sat on them.
"Okay," She sighed. "I'm going to ask you something and you've gotta answer honestly, okay?" Sabrina nodded slowly. "Do you like Daniel?"
"Depends on the next comment." Sabrina deadpanned but her heart was beating rapidly at the mention of Daniels name.
"Well, he asked me out on a date this Friday." Jasmine announced with a wide grin.
Sabrina sucked in a breath, feeling her heart sink to her feet. "Oh." Was all she said.
"So, do you still like him?" Jasmine repeated.
"No, not at all." Sabrina lied.
"Wait," Uriah started. "He asked out your best friend?"
Sabrina nodded. The next day she had gone to the mall with Uriah to vent to him and also angry shop. He had invited one of his friend to come with them to watch a movie and while the two waited. So, in the mean time, they decided to walk around the mall.
