Seven.
The next day, Sabrina woke up with, yet again, an empty house. She knew her mom was at work while everyone else was at school. Heading downstairs to eat breakfast, the house phone started ringing. Sabrina picked it up.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Sabrina Alston?"
"This is she," She replied.
"We apologize in advance for the false accusations. It appears as though someone did frame you for the vandalism on our school. You are welcome to come back and we will discharge the suspension from your permanent record. You are welcome to come back today or tomorrow."
Sabrina sighed in relief. "I'll start today, but thank you so much, sir. And before you go, do you know who did it?"
"You're very welcome. And it was a named Arabella Priar. She explained to us that someone had paid her to do so. But don't worry, we're still looking to find the one that bribed Arabella, seeing as she doesn't want to tell us herself." He said before hanging up. Sabrina grinned widely and did a little happy dance. She looked at the time and saw that first period was ten minutes to being over. She ran upstairs and changed into a simple outfit. Some black jeans and Kevin's burgundy Gizzy hoodie with some white Nike Air Max. She put her hair in a pony tail, seeing as she didn't have time to style it. Sabrina grabbed her bag and keys before heading to the school.
After fifteen minutes of Sabrina checking in with the counselor, she quickly headed to her second period happily. Usually she wasn't so happy to be in school but going to second period seemed to bright up her day. Especially since that class was for all grades. Meaning, her siblings, Daniel, Mariah, Jasmine, Devin, and Alexis we're all in that class taking 3/4 Spanish.
Sabrina took a deep breath before twisting the knob on the door to the classroom, and walking in. The room fell to silence and they all stared at Sabrina. Her friends smiled yet sent a confused look her way.
"Sabrina, la bienvenida de nuevo." Her spanish teacher, Mrs. Rose, greeted. (Sabrina, welcome back)
"Gracias, Sra. Rose." Sabrina smiled before sitting in her seat next to Mariah. (Thank you, Mrs. Rose)
Sabrina sent a look to all of her friends silently telling them that she'd explain later before directing her attention to the teacher.
"So they know now that it wasn't you?" Alexis asked Sabrina. Everybody was now at lunch and Sabrina and her friends were all sitting at their regular table under the tree, giving them all shade and a nice, fresh breeze.
"Yeah," Sabrina nodded. "The girl, Arabella, says that someone paid her to do it. She's not saying who but they're saying that they're figuring something out."
