Eight.

The next day was just a regular school day. But not for Sabrina. After the little scene yesterday with Jasmine, Sabrina couldn't help but think that there was more to Jasmine than she though there was. Jasmine has been distant. She has been snappy. She has been aggressive towards Sabrina. More than usual.

Sabrina sighed, getting dressed in some blue jeans, a grey t-shirt. She had straighten her hair the night before letting her lay it out today. She was on her way out of the bathroom but abruptly stopped at the moment her phone dinged, signaling she had a text.

Uriah
good morning!

Sabrina smiled knowing that this was really Uriah and not Lina. There was no winking face at the end.

good morning!
do you think you and Lina could meet me at my school after schools done. I have to tell you guys something.

Sabrina put her phone back onto her nightstand, before retreating to her closet to grab her shoes. She quickly slipped them on and grabbed her notebooks and slipped them into her backpack. Her phone dinged once more gaining her attention.

Uriah
me and Lina don't have class so maybe we can come in while your at lunch, yeah?

okay, lunch starts @ 11:30

Sabrina walked out of her room and grabbed her keys. She looked out the window seeing Shari already leaving. Kevin came downstairs grabbing himself some Oreos.

"Ready?" Sabrina asked her brother. He nodded. They both walked out and climbed into Sabrina's beat up Range Rover, driving to school.

"Do you think Jasmine is hiding something?" Sabrina asked breaking the silence in the car.

"What do you mean?"

"She's been distant and aggressive lately." Sabrina explained. Kevin paused and furrowed his eyebrows, thinking.

"She has, hasn't she." Kevin realized. He then shrugged. "Maybe she's on her period."

Sabrina scoffed, slapping the back of his head. He flinched. "Ow!"

"Don't say that. And Jasmine isn't those type of girls that are aggressive when they're on their period. She more like a cry baby. She cry and she eats every minute." Sabrina clarified.

"True. Maybe you should ask her— wait, don't do that cause then she'd snap at you again." Kevin said. Sabrina pulled into the school and they immediately spotted everyone at their usual table near the tree.

Kevin went to open the door but Sabrina locked the doors. He looked back at her confused. "Meet me here at lunch and don't tell anyone, okay?"
