I swiftly work through the phasing controls, trying to stable my beautiful machine.
"Come on, Beautiful! Don't die now!"
I said as I flipped a switch and everything went silent.
"Oh no..." No engine sounds, no humming of his beautiful console. Nothing.
"No... No. No!" I say as I work more of the controls again, but luck was not on my side today.
I pull a lever angrily, "Damnit!" I plop down in the chair next to the console and attempt to use my sonic to fix some of the wiring, but it didn't work.
"Stupid thing!" I hit my hand on the side of it, the light blueish silver sonic sparking.
I growl in anger and frustration, "Oh! Don't do this to me!"
I try every way possible to get him up and running again, and not floating carelessly through space.
Trying to turn on the blue stabilisers and fully disabling the security override circuits, I concentrate hard as I know my poor TARDIS is in pain.
"Hang in there, Beautiful, we can get through this." I promise him as I lightly press my hand on the soft glowing gold of the inner console.
Just as I'm about to give up, a familiar voice catches my ears. "Hello sweetie!"
I turn around quickly and see my long time friend, "River!" I hug her happily, "I am so glad you're here! I need your help with my TARDIS."
"Yes, I know." She chuckles. "Seems like you crashed him in a fixed point, he isn't very happy."
I nod, "Yeah, I know, my fault there." I laugh once, slightly nervous. "River, please tell me you can work the controls on a Type 30 Battle TARDIS?" She only nods and gets to work, already knowing what I'm about to do.
I work swiftly underneath the console as I rewire everything, manually resetting him to his healthy normal state. Meanwhile, River is up top overriding every security override my TARDIS throws at her.
"River! Override the emergency shut down!" I yell up to her, and she obeys.
"How much more do we have to override? He's putting up a fight up here!" She shouts back.
"One more!" I say as I override the final protocol. "Done!" I say a I put the tools back in their proper place on my tool belt. "We have to go back to the morning of November 25th!"
"Why?"
"I made a promise to a foster child I intend on keeping." I smile, and my best friend, practically sister, helps me fly him to our proper destination.
Luckily, we landed the next morning after the twenty fifth.
Or so I thought...
