"Call me later.", Lapis said. I turned around and faced her car. She had dropped me off on my front porch.
"Thanks for the ride.", I waved. "Remember to pick me up."
"Don't worry, I gotcha.", she waved goodbye, and drove off.
I took out my keys, and jingled them inside the locks. As soon as I got in my room, I flopped face first, on my bed.
"Ugh, why is my life so miserable?", I moaned to myself. Then I heard my phone notification. I picked it up.
Ruby: you home yet sapphire? It's me ruby.
I texted back, right away. I don't know why, but I felt so good.
Sapphire: Yes, I'm here. Lapis dropped me off.
Ruby: start getting ready. I'll meet u at da party.
Sapphire: I have homework.
Ruby: screw dat, u do it later
Sapphire: Fine.
I turned off my phone, and took off my clothes. Then I went in the shower. When I came out, I looked at my wardrobe. Ugh, I need to go clothes shopping, later. I decided to just wear, something I would wear on the weekends. A whit tank top, with a jean jacket, cargo pants, a winter hat, and grey sneakers.

Now it was time for my makeup and hair. I just picked my hair up in a messy bun, but still allowed my bangs to cover my eyes. Then I put some mascara and lipstick on. I'm not really a makeup person, so I don't go hard.
I looked at the time. 7:45 already?! Well, Lapis might be waiting for me outside, so I decided to text her.
Sapphire: Are you here, yet? I'm ready.
Lapis: I'll be there in five
Sapphire: kay.
What should I do while I wait? I just went on Snapchat, and looked at people's stories. Then I heard a honk, from outside. I looked out my window, and saw Lapis's car in front of my driveway.
I turned off my lights, and grabbed my handbag. Then I locked my door, and put my keys in the bag.
I wanted to go in the front, but Peridot was sitting there. I wonder how she convinced her to come. So, I went in the back .
"You look nice, Sapphire.", Lapis said, as she chewed on her gum.
"Oh, uh thanks.", I was too busy, taking note of the smell. Clorox? "It's smells like pool.", I said.
