Chapter Eight

Genevieve's POV

  The next day.......

Things for me started to began kinda weird.. Because, Charles was my childhood friend and was assigned to be my husband....

It's also weird that he doesn't even recognized me anymore. I know we met when we were little but still... If he knew that much he should've recognized me a little bit...

"Start snipping those bushes." Jinx told the maids...

"What am I supposed to do?" I asked.

"Go to master Charles' office or find where he is right away." She said.

"Okay." I said.

So now I'll be beside Charles now.... He might now me now....... I don't want that to happen.... We're gonna get married and- I'm gonna marry Marcus though.....

Because Charles was my past and Marcus is my future....

But people change every time you meet them...

I was walking inside the mansion looking for Charles but his not there...

A maid came to me and said.

"Master Charles is waiting for you at his bedroom."

"Why? And, where is that room?" I asked.

"It's upstairs in the very corner of the left side." She said.

I run upstairs and went to the room where Charles is...

"I'm coming in." I said then open the door....

I saw him in his bed covered in pillows.

"Master Charles? Are you alright?" I asked.

I just realized that he looks sick so I rushed and hold his forehead to see if he has a fever....

"Wow, you have a pretty high fever. Where did you get this?" I asked.

   I didn't find him yesterday so I just went to the mansion waiting for him but he didn't returned...

"I was waiting for you in the swimming pool.... But you didn't even return." He said.

"But I went there yesterday." I said.

"Well I guess we didn't saw each other." He said.

"Anyways! You should take good care of yourself master Charles, you can't serve the whole entire kingdom with fever you know." I said. "I'll grab you a wet towel."

He hold my hand.

"I'm fine, just stay here. It's just a fever." He said.

What do I do?

Ahhhhhh~

Someone enter the room please~

"I'll get you some tea." I said then remove his hand from mine.

"I already asked the maid to do that." He said.

"Oh." I said. "I see.... I'll go outside now."

"Stay here and have a talk with me." He said.

He sneeze and cough...

"Oh that's not good. You take a rest and I'll stay here." I said.

"Okay." He said.

"Also, why did you cover yourself with pillows? You don't have any blankets? I'll bring you one right away." I said then walk.

"I told you not to go away and just say here. Your my personal assistant remember?!" He shouted.

"Master, your temper. You need to be calm." I said.

"How can I be calm when your raising up my temper?!" He shouted again.

"Just take a rest and don't stress yourself while I make you breakfast- I meant brunch." I said.

"Do you even know what a personal assistant do?! Assistants do what they are told! They don't just move around freely!" He said. "Maids do those kinds of things."

"Oh, so I guess I'll sit here in this chair beside me." I said then sat down.

Well this is boring...

I was looking around the room and a necklace caught my eye....

It's a necklace with-

The ring!

So it's in this room all along!

"What are you looking at?" He asked. "Oh, your looking at my necklace. Nice pendant huh? It's not really a pendant but a ring."

"Is that the one your talking about? The one gave to you by your childhood friend?" I asked.

"Yeah. It's like really precious to me. So I always keep it with me. I hide it under my shirt though but right now I'm my wearing it." He said.

"By the way master Charles. Where's your sister? I meant the princess?" I asked.

"She's at school with Marcus." He said.

"I thought she was expelled." I said.

"I moved her on a new private school." He said.

"Wait, I though you dorm want her to be a spoiled child but. Why did you put her on a private school?" I asked.

"I haven't give it a try yet so yeah. If going to a private school doesn't work for her. I guess I'll just hire a teacher her own." He said.

"Ohhhh." I said.

"Master here's your tea." The maid said then came in.

"Put it right there." Charles said then pointed on the table.

The maid out down the tea set and went outside.

"You can't move right? I'll get you your tea." I said.

"No." He said.

"Okay.." I said.

I dunno what to do right now.....

An hour past and I'm still sitting in this chair. The tea is already cold.

Master Charles is now asleep so I guess I'll still be waiting in this chair. I decided to take a nap....
