Ahri ~

I was picking flowers from the garden in the back of my house, when I came upon a beautiful white rose. I couldn't help but smile.

“If you were a flower you'd be the rarest one of all, a white flower.”

It's been four years since Tamaki was sent to Japan. His mother, Anne and I have been extremely close even before he left and I took care of her since she is extremely ill. I thought of taking her some flowers today, she loved when I brought her flowers it reminded her when Tamaki and I play in her garden. Good Times.

Grabbing the basket filled with lilies and that one white rose tucked in the middle of all the rest, I rose from my knees and headed inside. I brushed out my long violet hair and slipped out of my beautiful black and pink kimono, instead I changed into a white blouse and skinny jeans. As much as I loved my kimono, it was a bit too fancy to wear out in public. I put my hair in a ponytail and added my glasses. I couldn’t afford contacts at the time, so instead I wore glasses. I didn’t bother looking in the mirror; I simply picked up my basket of flowers and walked out the door.

I took the same path I've taken for 12 years, ever since I was 5. I didn’t always walk though, my parents used to drive even though it was a only couple blocks away. I miss my parents. They passed away two years after Tamaki left. My mother had died from a horrible sickness and my father killed himself on the anniversary of my mothers death. It was unexpected, and to make it worse Tamaki was extremely close to my father. My father had been the only father figure he had; my father was always there unlike his own father. I wasn't able to tell Tamaki though, his grandmother made sure that we had no contact.

I didn't realize I was in front of Anne's house already; I knocked gently before taken my key to open the door.

"Why, hello dear." A welcoming smile came upon Anne's face once she saw it was me. I walked up and hugged her, her violet gaze fell on the basket filled with my flowers.

"Aww, you made my day Ahri." She took the basket weakly, and smelled the flowers, "They are wonderful dear, thank you. I shall put them in a vase as beautiful as these flowers" Her eyes never left the white rose, she giggled. “I remember what that means. Tamaki used to give these to me all the time.” Anne began to walk to the kitchen to look for a vase and I rushed to her side.

"Let me help you!" I looked in a cabinet to find two vases, a clear glass one and a pink vase, "Which would you like?" I asked while I showed her the vases. She coughed, and pointed to the pink vase. I set it on the kitchen table and carefully put the other vase back in its spot.

After we put the flowers away her cough had gotten worst and I did not like it.

"You need to rest Senpai." I looked at her filled with concern. She turned to me and gave me a disappointed look,

"I thought I told you no formalities, you will be my future daughter in-law, No formalities with you mother in-law." Her disappointed look disappeared and her violet eyes looked straight at my ice blue ones as she smiled graciously.

"Do you think he forgot me already, I don’t feel like I’m in his heart at all anymore." I looked down , my bangs covered my eyes. I could feel the tears coming and I didn’t want to cry anymore.

"Of course not," She giggled "I remember when you went home he'd come crying to me, asking me if you would come back and one day, oh how I remember he actually said he wants you to be his bride. That happened more than a few times." I shot my head up and looked at her filled with shock, my cheeks burned and I adjusted my glasses.

"W-w-when was the last time he said that to you? N-n-not that I am admitting anything I’m just curious" I scolded myself for stuttering. She smiled took my glasses off my face and cleaned it with her white kimono sleeve and placed my glasses back on me.

"Oh, the night before he left with his grandmother" She finally answered in a matter-of-fact tone of voice. I became shocked and my eyes grew wide. "Now, dear I have something fo-" her cough started again and she almost fell but I caught and steadied her.

I helped her to her bed; she sat on the edge as I went to get her medicine and water. Her coughing finally died down enough for her to talk again.

"As I was saying before this horrible coughing interrupted me, I have a gift for you" She reached her night stand "You don't have to give me anythi-" She put her finger to my lips and I shut my mouth automatically, "I know I don’t, but you deserve it and I want you to have it." She handed me a small rectangular box with a red ribbon on it. I took it and opened it carefully.

Inside a saw a beautiful necklace, that Anne wore all the time. I was speechless, she treasured that necklace and I couldn’t believe that she was giving it to me. I lifted the necklace carefully to admire it, it had a dove holding a violet flower, it was white gold necklace with a silver chain.

"There's more dear," I noticed a paper, under the necklace. I put the necklace down on the night stand and unfolded the paper, once I read what was written I dropped the box and wanted to scream in joy. I suppressed my joy however and turned to Anne.

"Wait, I can’t accept this. What about you, who's going to take care of you. This is too much! How did you even - oh gosh this is overwhelming.” She smiled "Please accept it, I'll be fine."
