This was originally written/thought of I think, by phan-tastic-fangirl on Tumblr and I just really liked it.

Sometimes I feel like Dan is underappreciated
I know what your thinking, "What?!? No it's usually Phil that's under appreciated!!" Well hear me out on this.
Think about it, we always mention Phil's flaws and how they seem to be so perfect. We always talk about Phil's talents like his singing, or knowing random facts, or his amazing editing skills. But no one ever talks about Dan.
No one talks about how Dan is an amazing actor and was made for the stage. No one talks about how he knows how to play instruments very well. No one ever talks about how Dan has such wonderful creative ideas that he manages to put a powerful message in a small/silly skit. Or even those times when Dan makes up little songs about the most random things, don't you think that is amazing?
No one talks about how Dan use to be suicidal or how he use to hate who he was. How he managed to fight through that and still stands strong although in some videos you can see it in his eyes that he still gets those thoughts. No one talks about how he is always telling people to not be insecure even though you can tell he himself is insecure.
No one talks about how beautiful Dan is, not by his looks, but why who he really is. How he always has this amazing view on something and you can tell he is just itching to tell us or someone about it but he holds himself back because of those little insecurities we all have. Or how he always tries to be that dark and gloomy guy when we all know he is a kind hearted, lovable dork. Or how he always gets defensive towards his friends and puts his foot down when something seems unfair.
Everyone always gets angry when a post about Dan doesn't mention Phil, but when was the last time you got angry when a post about Phil doesn't mention Dan? When was the last time you got upset when someone said they loved Phil but not Dan?
We all always just focus on the meme side of Dan or just the "Model" side of Dan, but we never really do focus on the wonderful Human Being Dan really is.
