The people can safe their belongings in the restaurants beside the beach in rubiah island, the snorkeling spot. They can choose wherever they want. You need to bring your money, to avoid the awkwardness. But me only brought fin, snorkel, camera, mineral water, sandals and oversized shirt that i wear so people won't stare at my tight swimwear.
The people I joined, were dating. So, you would know that I couldn't expect much. They were so nice. They offered me to join their meals when I said that I didn't bring any money to buy anything. They were still in sophomore year in their university. "Never been here," they said when I asked them if they've ever here before.
I enjoyed the snorkeling time. It was refreshing since snorkeling been my top list in this trip. The fin had to been used!
There were lots of fishes there, very colorful, very interesting. One thing weird is that the coral wasn't beautiful. 'So, what do they eat?' I thought. Apparently, many tourists bring the noodles or maybe bread so the fishes come over to them. In my opinion, it's not natural. AT ALL. So, I kind of swam away from people, to find the real beauty.
I was thinking about saving my energy for one more day in Sabang Island, so i just snorkeled for like an hour or maybe less. I remember the couple I went with, those who I don't know their name, they ordered food and ate it and i was still in the sea. So, probably more than an hour, is one thing sure.
So, I went up from the beach to sat in the restaurant we chose, drank the water I brought, and sat on the stairs. It's hard to describe it. But let me try.
Imagine that you are on the beach.
Then, look around. To the left and to the right.
While on the right from you, there are houses but they have like balcony or.......stage! Yeah stage. Like in the fashion show stage. So, imagine they have T shape. So, the model will walk to the front of that stage, right? Well in the very front of the stage where journalists usually take the best shot of the gown/dresses, well, replace it with the sea.But then, how the model can get down from the stage to the sea. Imagine that they have like stairs. The stairs they do have in a boat. And i sat there. On the stairs. Hopefully you get the image.
Well, I looked at the view. Very not similar with what I see in Jakarta. The water was greenish and blueish. The people were happy. Until suddenly, there were other visitors who wanted to go to the restaurant. So, I moved a little to the right part. Then they looked at me but I ignored them. Let's be honest. You'll know if someone stare at you, right? So, they looked at me a little. They probably looked at me because they clearly could see that I'm not a local. The other reason probably because I burdened their way. Well, you can really imagine the probabilities.
But I hate people. I mean, I had this view for my own. Then, there were other people..
'Whatever.'
