---The Next Day---

~Jada's POV~

I wake up to my mother, shaking me lightly as I open my eyes.

I rub my eyes and realize she's saying something to me.

"Huh? What?" I yawn.

"Come on, sweetie. You should probably go get a change of clothes." Mom says as I sit up on the couch.

"Are you sure? I don't wanna leave you alone here if you're not okay." I say.

"Sweetie, I'll be fine. I appreciate your thought though." She chuckles.

"Okay. I'll drop in after rehearsals to see you." I say, grabbing my keys off the coffee table as I get off the couch.

"Okay, sweetie. Have fun! Love you." She says, kissing my cheek.

"Love you, too. Bye." I say, kissing her cheek.

I walk out the door and hop into my car. I pull out my cellphone and try to turn it on but it doesn't work.

"Ugh! I'll just charge it at rehearsals." I sigh, starting the car and driving away.

--At Home--

I drive up to the house and frown as I see sirens. There's an ambulance in front of the house, as well as a cop car.

I get out of my car and shut the door, running over to one of the ambulance driver as he pulls a stretcher out of the back of the ambulance.

"What's going on? Is my husband okay?" I ask, panicking as the man looks at me with sadness in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Jackson.. We received a phone call saying that your husband has gone into cardiac arrest." He says before running inside with the stretcher.

"What?" I whisper.

I run inside and see them coming downstairs with Michael on the stretcher with an oxygen mask on his face.

"Michael. Oh, Michael. Please, stay alive." I sob as I watch them run outside, pulling him on the stretcher.

"Ma'am, I'm afraid you can't go into the ambulance with him, but you can follow us to the hospital if you'd like." One of the other ambulance drivers says, walking up to me.

"I-Is my husband going to be okay?" I sob with tears streaming down my face.

"Probably not. I'm so sorry. But we can hope for a miracle." He says, walking away.

"Ugh! Why, God? Why?!!" I scream, kicking and punching the wall.

Suddenly, Dr. Murray comes over and I glare at him.

"You did this." I whisper.

"What are you talking about?" He chuckles.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about! You did this! You made my husband go into cardiac arrest! You're trying to kill him! How did you do it, huh? How?" I scream at him.

"First of all, he's not your husband. You two got a divorce, remember?" He chuckles.

"I don't care. In my mind, he's my husband, who I love more than anything besides our children and grandchildren!" I say.

I storm out to my car and get in and start it.

I start to follow the ambulance and eventually we get to the hospital.

I rush in and follow the doctors that take Michael into a room.

"Ma'am, you'll have to leave the room while we try to bring your husband back the best we can." The doctor says, pushing me out of the room.
