Satoshi's POV
I was going back to my run-down house, when I noticed Mori's scent over towards Naraku's cave. Not wanting her to get involved, I quickly followed her scent to the cave and away towards a river. It was there that I couldn't find her scent any longer. She must have run off and washed away her cat-smell.
What a smart girl, I thought to myself, then dashing off to my house again.
At this time, let me be clear, I had lived in this run-down shack for years, so seeing it burning to a crisp was not a good wake-up call.
"Who the heck did this?!" I screamed with barely a ledge on my sanity. In their defense, I was a little bit of a thief, but, in my defense, they all had much warmer and safer homes than my broken abode.
None of the villagers could hear me, and I doubted they needed to, for they were probably not the suspectsto walk for an entire day to do this... Well, it wasn't logic to them. The only other possibility was...
Naraku.
That spineless demon! In heart and soul, I swear... Actually, I don't believe that he has a heart.
His stench was rather obvious as it was as venomous as his words. Before I had joined him, I didn't know how dangerous it could've been.
"Whatever..." I mumbled, seeing what I could salvage from the inferno.
After pulling some slightly burnt meat from the door, I checked the blankets, which I brought with me. Walking for a long time, I decided that it was a good chance to become a wanderer.
But... What about if Mori comes back to my old house and finds it gone? I should at least find a way to communicate with her. Mori... How could I forget about you? You are the essence of my being, really.
"I love you Mori!" My desperate shouting was only united with what he thought was the silence of the forest. What could I expect?

Third POV
"I know you love me, you twerp." Mori growled at Satoshi towards the end of her statement, "Why else would I have so much trouble dealing with you?"
"Mori!" Shock and happiness filled his heart, and his face as he stared ahead of him at the white she-demon.
"You're so hopeless..." She muttered, shaking her head in distaste, then realizing, "What are you doing so far from home? It's at least a few days from Kyorei Village now." Confusion was plain to see as she tried to solve this puzzle on her own.
Satoshi grimaced for a second, but then smiled perkily right back up at her, "Somebody burned it. But, y'know, I decided it's a good chance to start traveling. I always wanted to, remember?"
"Sato-" Mori began to speak, but was cut off by Satoshi, who had watering eyes.
"I just--wanted to let--you know--" He broke down into sobs on Mori's shoulder, with her welcoming it after a slight shock.
"Shh... It's okay... I'm still here, you haven't lost everything yet, Satoshi."
Mori was surprised with her own ability to speak such words. It may have been the fact that those were the words that he spoke to her when her family died.
She can't blame him for crying, his home was one of the only things he had left, and now it's gone...
forever.
