Lisa's pov

When I wake up the next day, there's a box on the nightstand. I stare at it confused. There's a note beside it.
My beautiful Lisa, I noticed your necklace looked a tad worn so I got you this. Jason.

I open the box and to my surprise, it's my necklace but on a new chain! I shakily put it on as tears fill my eyes. I wipe them and go downstairs. Morgan was coloring and Jason was reading a book to Megan. I smile, a hand on my necklace. I walk by and kiss Jason's head then go to the kitchen.

Jason's pov

I stop mid sentence when she kissed my head. Megan hit the book wanting me to continue. I finished the book and went to the kitchen where Lisa was. She poured a cup of coffee and I slipped my hands around her waist. She leaned into my chest. "Baby I wanna be your man forever." I whisper. She sets her cup down and turns around. "I'm so glad I'm here with you, Jason." I smile and kiss her softly then there's a gasp behind us. Morgan. Uh oh. Suddenly the radio starts playing love in the first degree by Alabama. The radio was off. "Daddy." Morgan whispers, glancing at the radio. "Ben." Lisa whispers. "Well if lovin' you's a crime then I know that I'm as guilty as a man can be." I say, smiling. She smiles too.

*a few weeks later*

Lisa was getting Morgan ready for school and I was sipping coffee trying to wake up. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes. "These are not peaking hours for a musician." I mumble. She smiles. "You go on up to bed. I've got this." "You sure baby?" "Yeah I know that show wore you out." I smile. "It wasn't the show hot stuff." She laughs softly and I steal a kiss before faceplanting in the bed upstairs.

*later*

I woke up feeling something land on my stomach. I open my eyes to see Megan. "What are you doin', runt?" She giggles. "Piggy back ride daddy!" She whines. My eyes go wide. She called me daddy again. Lisa came upstairs. "Can we go to lunch?" She cries, jumping on my stomach again, making an oof sound come out of me. I set her beside me on the bed. "Sorry about that." Lisa mumbles red faced. "It's fine. Where we goin' runt?" She laughs. She likes it when I call her that.... Just like... I love it when she calls me daddy.

*later*

I pull Lisa aside while Megan was playing on the jungle gym at the resturaunt. "What's up?" "Um Megan is calling me daddy an awful lot. I don't know how you feel about it." "I hope it doesn't annoy you!" She gasps quickly. "Uh actually I kinda like it but I don't wanna encourage it if you don't want her calling me that." She fights back the tears. "No. She can call you it. You're a great daddy to my girls. I'm one of the luckiest girls on the planet." She gasps hugging me. "Out of all the girls you could've picked, you chose a single mom!" "I love you Lisa. Don't ever doubt that. And I love our girls." I wipe away her tears and kiss her forehead. "Nothing will change that." "I love you too Jay." She whispers. I smile. We get home and she lays Megan down for her nap. "Want daddy!" She shouts, angry tears running down her face. I walk in and she perks up. "Daddy!" She cries, reaching for me. I pick her up and rock her. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away."

Lisa's pov

I rest a hand on my necklace. He lays the sleeping toddler in her bed and kisses her head. "Goodnight, princess." He says covering her up. "You're such a great dad." I say when he closes the door. He smiles and hugs me. "I love being a dad. It's one of the best feelings in the world." We go watch a movie downstairs, then Morgan gets home. She wanted to show us a picture. She pulled it out then the door opened and a man I don't know stands there. "Dad? What are you doing here?" Jason gasps. "LeClaire told us you were a dad now!" He says. His face gets red. "Yeah. I reckon ya wanna meet the kids." A woman walks in too who I'm guessing is his mom. "Man they're embarassing." He mutters. I laugh. "Nonsense. It was so sweet for them to wanna come see the girls." He half smiles and we go to the kitchen. "They may not be my kids biologically but they're my kids." He says, holding my hands. "If you don't mind me claiming them as mine." I smile and he wipes the tears from my face. "I'd love that, Jason." He hugs me. I see a very long and happy future with this man.
