Recently, I had to attend the funeral of a friend who killed himself. He always gave, and had the most sweetest, generous and kind spirit. His kindness amazed me, he would buy lunches for people in need, hold doors open constantly for anyone and would always smile. I hope you are up there in peace now, being happy, unique and comfortable.

Suicide is not the answer. I promise everyone, it gets better. I am speaking from experience, you matter to be on this planet, your life has purpose. Don't let anything put out your light.

Heather's POV

"I think Kyle is going to attack our pack on Thanksgiving."

The words came out of my mouth before I could resist, fearful of Cole's response I cleared my throat. I didn't know why, but after the rogue Luke died, the day of Thanksgiving kept popping in my head. A feeling of attack on that day sat in my stomach like disgusting soup.

"Thanksgiving is an important day for wolves." He said.

I looked up to him with surprised eyes. "Really?"

He nodded. "That's the day the first 2 most important packs made peace. All packs were against each other at the time. I'm not sure why but they all thought each other were enemies. But 2 out of the 5 packs of the time made peace. Thanksgiving is the first peace treaty date in wolf history."

"So you kind of just celebrate it with humans?"

He nodded again. "I mean, we like turkeys and pilgrims too."

"Of course you do."

We started to walk in silence. "It would make sense though, that he'd attack that day." Cole said.

"To eliminate peace, get rid of all traces of it. No one would remember that day as peace, but the day he would hope to succeed in ruling." Hopefully not rule. Not win.

He won't win. We've got Cole, and our pack. We've got this. Lunar's words of courage filled my mind.

Thank you.

I picked at Cole's leather jacket that I had around my shoulders. "Are you cold? You should probably have your jacket back..."

"Nope, I'm a wolf. I keep warm quite easily."

I smiled and leaned on my tippy toes to kiss his cheek.

He grinned down at me and stopped walking. "What was that for?"

I shrugged. "You are my mate, aren't I allowed to?"

He put his arms around me. "I'm not complaining." And his lips came crashing down on mine, so cliché I know.

Every time we kissed, tingles and warm butterflies and fireworks just exploded. Sounds cheesy, but love makes you do that. Love makes you do things you'd never imagine doing. It makes you brave, delirious, determined and passionate. I thought all this as his fingers worked their way through my hair.

I pulled apart when the light above us started to flicker.

"Well, that's horror movie creepy." I stated. Then a clasp of thunder rang out, and light raindrops fell. My breathing increased.

"We probably should get ba-Kitten?"

I probably looked like a wet terrified mess, but I didn't care.

"Thunderstorms scare me when I'm outside. Not protected by a roof. And now we're surrounded by trees."

"You want to ride my wolf back home? Actually-" He picked me up bridal style.
