WHOA

Heather's POV

Thanksgiving Day

Time.

Time is interesting. It's not real, I mean it's man made, but it affects our daily lives. How we plan, how we think, what we do, what we are. Something so small as numbers, made up phenomenons, become part of us and twist its way into our DNA.

And as I was running towards the pack house, it seemed like we had no time. It wasn't existent. Everything was happening at once and I couldn't stop it. The sounds of people yelling and groaning. My feet getting stuck in the snow covered grass.

My breaths were fast in my chest, but they sounded slow in my ears. Breath and time were substitutes.

And time and my breath sure as hell stopped when Kyle's and I's eyes made contact.

He was truly here, in form, wearing a weird stitched long black sleeve black top, and pants to match. He was far away from me, but I got a quick glimpse of his grin when Cole grabbed me and ran.

Jason and Mac joined Charlotte, Zack, Cole and I in the front of the pack house which was hidden by trees but you could easily see the fight between the two packs between the trees and into the cut down round area. We went in.

"Okay, are you guys ready?" Jason said while picking up a few weapons from a wall. He handed me a knife, and Cole handed few vials to the others.

"What are those?" I asked.

"It's like the opposite of silver and wolfsbane, it charges our wolf and help us in fights and training. The gatorade of wolves."

I nodded. Cole held my shoulders after sipping it. "Are you sure you wa-"

"I want to fight. I want to help. I'm the Luna of this pack, and I am damn well going to protect it."

He nodded and hugged me. "I love you Heather. I love you so so much."

"I love you too."

"You have to stay close to the pack members and the house, okay? You can't fight his pack when they are in wolf form. And kill if you need to. I don't want you to feel the guilt."

I looked up to him, wide eyed.

"I'm going to ki...I'm going to go." He said.

"I-I need a few more minutes in here. But you go out. Go with your pack, I'm just going to practice real quick."

He nodded and kissed me, a kiss full of desperation and determination, one I felt through my entire body all the way to my core. "Carlos, stay and watch while she's here, and go outside with her when she is ready." The guard walked to me and smiled. With one last look and "I love you" and hugs, Cole, Jason, Mac, Charlotte and Zack ran out.

Something in me told me to stay inside.

The Moon Goddess. It had to be her. I looked to my right and saw a small blue light floating.

I looked Carlos who was watching the door, a large silver sword in his hand. "I uh, I have to use the bathroom before I go out." He nodded and looked back to the door.

I followed the blue ball through the hallways and into the office room. I looked around but the Moon Goddess wasn't there.

When I turned to walk out, the door shut and a hand made it's way into my hair and neck.

"Hello, Thea."

I wanted to scream as shivers rose up my spine and my breath hitched in my throat.
