Part 32

We all returned back to our houses free and safe after destroying and taking out our enemy. We called anonymously the police and gave them the evidence against Dark and they went to the facilities and arrested him. When we arrived at our motel we walked hand in hand to our room. We met with the rest of the team and congratulated and thanked everyone. We both laid on the bed relieved.

"We're free baby." I say and softly kiss her forehead.
"I can't believe this. After all these months and all this preparation we're free."
"I love you. So much."
"Me too Robert. Let me see your wounds, you look very tired and broken."
"I am but it's all worth it. I'll be fine don't worry. Our lives are going to change so much from now."
"Thank you for risking your life for me."
"Everything that happened to you is my fault and don't deny it. It was the least I could do for you. If anything happened to you I wouldn't forgive myself."
"We're both fine, that's all that matters."
"I'm really sorry for everything that asshole did to you. I don't know how but I will help you get through this."
"I don't know if I can get through this but your support really helps me. You're the only man I can bare touching me."

I can see her eyes getting more and more wet and she's ready to cry. I hug her even tighter and kiss her head.
"I promise I will be here for you. Don't cry please, we're fine now. We are all free and safe. We have enough money to buy a house and live together now."
"You really want us to live together?"
I carefully caress her cheek and smile.
"Yes I do baby. As long as you want it too of course."
"I'd love to live with you. I don't have anyone else either way. Only you and my brother who is missing. Where can he be?"
"Maybe he's at your family's house. It's safe there now and he doesn't have anywhere else to go."
"You're right. Why didn't I think of this earlier? I will go find him, you should stay here and sleep. You seem like you haven't slept in ages."
"Well you're not wrong but I'm still coming with you. It's very late for you to walk by yourself."
"I missed you acting like this."
"Like what?"
"A protecting boyfriend."
I smile and hug her softly kissing her cheek.
"Let's go."

I drove us to her house and she unlocked the door. We stepped in and turned on the lights.
"Matt? Are you here?" Aria asked searching through the house.
After a few times calling his name Matt appeared from his room. He looked like a mess. They ran to each other and hugged. I could see bottles of alcohol on the living room table.
"Matt let's officially meet. I'm Robert Downey Jr." I say giving him my hand.
"Nice to meet you Robert, I'm Matt Martin." he replies shaking it.
"What happened to you Matt? Why are you like a mess?" Aria asks worried.
"After Robert freed me I came here and I just couldn't keep myself from drinking. I said all these terrible things to you while you were being abused."
"Matt it's fine, don't do this to yourself please."
"Aria can you forgive me please? I've done so many things to you. I didn't know I was working for this man, I just wanted a job."
"I forgive you, you're my brother and I love you."
Tears formed in my eyes seeing them like this.
"Robert thank you for doing all this for me and my sister."
"Don't even think about it. I love your sister way to much to let her go."
She looks at me and smiles.
"I'm glad she found someone to make her happy."
"I'm glad to be the lucky one."

We stayed at the house for a while. We talked about what's next. Neither Aria nor Matt want to stay in this house because it has a lot of bad memories so they're both moving. I'll buy a house with Aria and we'll live together and Matt will buy his own house. For now we have enough money to live but we will both try to find a normal job.

We returned to our room and it's now really late night. You can say it's very early in the morning.
"Let's take a shower and then we will sleep, okay?" I say.
"Yes sure."
"You should go first, I'll go after you."
"Okay, thank you."
Aria took a long shower and she got out with a towel wrapped around her body. She came to me with a very sad look in her eyes and I hugged her tightly and kissed her head.
"What's wrong baby?"
"I ruined all my family. My decisions got my parents killed and now my actions made my brother blame himself for everything."
"Listen to me Aria. Your brother will be fine, you can't feel like this for ever. He loves you and I love you. You didn't ruin anyone. Now get changed, sleep and everything will be fine. Just don't cry please. Now that we're free we should be happy not sad."
"Thank you Robert. I promise to be as happy as I can."
"That's right. I'll take a quick shower and I'll be back."
"Okay I'll get ready to sleep."

I took a quick shower and when I got out Aria was awake under the bed sheets. I got dressed and went to the bed to take my pillow.
"Why are you taking your pillow?"
"I thought you wanted to sleep by yourself at least for today."
"No, I want you with me. You make me feel safe."
I smile and lay on the bed too next to her. She moves closer to me and rests her head on my chest. I played with her hair until she fell asleep and after a few minutes I slept too.
