Part 34

I'm sitting on the bed with the laptop trying to find a job. Robert is out trying to do the same for more than an hour now. I can't find anything I like or I can do. I put the laptop on our desk and go to the bathroom. When I get out I hear the door closing.
"Babe I'm back."
I walk towards him and see him smiling.
"You seem happy."
"I got a job."
"I'm happy for you baby. What kind of job?"
"I'm officially a trainer in a gym."
"That's actually pretty good. With that body it's normal for them to hire you."
"I could be your personal trainer." he says and softly kisses my lips.
"You already are my personal trainer."
"That's true."
"I still can't find a job. I have no experience in anything and I'm not even high educated."
"Don't say that. I saw a place looking for a web designer, I'm sure you can do that."
"Yes I can do it. Where is this place?"
"A few blocks from here."
"That's cool. I won't even need a car to go there."
"We can buy another car if you want."
"No we can't spend all our money like that."
"I already spent some of our money but please don't be mad."
"Robert what did you do?"
"Your birthday is in 10 days and I wanted to do something for you so I bought tickets to Bahamas."
"I wanna kiss you and punch you at the same time."
"Do the first."

I move closer to him and press my lips against his.
"What about our jobs? If I find a job too we can't leave in 10 days."
"Don't worry about that. I already spoke with my boss and he said it's cool. Keep the love alive."
"I love you so much, you're amazing."
"I love you too honey."
"I will go to this office to ask them if I can take the job. Where is it?"
"A friend of mine owns it, I'll take you there. Let's walk."
"Does he know about your past?"
"Nope. He knows I was taking drugs for a while and that I got clean."
"Oh okay."

We went to the office which was 15 minutes away from our house. When we got in a guy stood up and came to us smiling.
"Robert! Didn't expect to see you here."
"Well here I am."
They hug and then he looks at me.
"Aria this is my friend Alex, Alex this is my girlfriend Aria."
We shake our hands and smile at each other.
"Nice to meet you Aria."
"Nice to meet you too Alex."
"Well, what brings you here? Do you have any web sites you want to take care of?"
"No, we saw you're looking for a web designer."
"Yes that's true. Which one of you is interested?"
"Me." I say.
"Okay, can use the internet and computers easily? I want someone who's very good."
"Yes I can do anything you want."
"Alex I promise you she's the best person for the job."
"Fine then, let me test you in something easy. Just to see that you can work here."

We sat in front of a computer and he told me to do some things on the internet and then to make a web site and design it not completely but just to see that I can do it.
"Okay I'm convinced. She's not only good she's fast too. The job is yours."
"Thank you!"
"You can start by tomorrow morning."
"Alex we need a small favor."
"What is it man?"
"In 10 days it's her birthday and I wanna take her on a little trip for a week."
"Oh I see, it's fine. We can stay 1 week without her."
"You're amazing."
"You will work from 9 am to 5 pm including your lunch break. Is it cool?"
"Yes, it's perfect."

We left the office and walked to the house. Robert sat on the couch and opened the TV and I started cooking for both of us.
"Aria come here."
"I can't right now baby, I'm cooking."
He sighs and stands up rushing to come to me.
"What happened?"
"The news were talking about Dark."
"Of course they were, he's a criminal. What did they say?"
"They didn't put him in jail yet, can you believe it?"
"What? Is he free?" I say now terrified.
"No, don't worry honey. They have him into custody."
"And why aren't they putting him in jail? I mean, they have so many things against him and we sent them all the proof they need."
"I don't know, I'm wondering the same thing."
"But he can't hurt us, right?"
"That's right he can't hurt us. Even if he could I wouldn't let anything happen to you ever again, you know that huh?"
"Yes I know that. I don't want him to hurt you or Matt or anyone else. I'm afraid Robert."
"You have nothing to be afraid of. I'm protecting you and he has no reason to hurt your brother. I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything to you, I upseted you for no reason."
"It's fine, really. I should know that to be more careful."
"Let's forget about all of that. We should be happy. We're free, safe, we have each other and we have a trip planned."
"You're so right baby, I'm sorry for acting like this."
"It's okay. I hope you didn't overcook or burn the food."
"Oh shit."
