I hate school. That was my only thought as sat in Gilleron J. Academy for the rich and privileged. I mean who wouldn't , you sitting all day watching teachers try to teach the new generation of CEOs and businesses owners. But what do they do all day? They text on their brand new phones and play around. I think I'm the only kid in class that actually pays any attention to the teacher. Even though we're only in ninth grade we all know that we will never actually have to do anything in our life. We only have to look at our parents and ask and we could get anything.

That wasn't the case with me though, you see I am a very smart person. My IQ score is 189. I just don't like it when people exploit other people's kids. So I try to keep myself right in the smart range but, not in the genius ballpark. That's why as I look around Mr. Peters class I was so disgusted. We were learning about the Revolutionary War and half of the class was asleep. All the kids here are so fucking lazy, or feel way too entitled. Why learn when you pay people to do the work for you?

Yet Mr. Peters is still talking about the hardships of the people. Does he even know nobody's really listening to him? As I continue to look around the room at my snooty peers, I suddenly feel dizzy. I close my eyes and see him.

He has blonde hair and blue eyes. There color hard like pieces of ice. His eyes bore into me like he could rip my soul apart with them. I wasn't afraid of him until I saw what was in his hands. This guy had a freaking glowing sword in his hands and he was coming at me with it. I felt weird so I looked down to make sure this psycho hadn't stabbed me. What I looked like was way more surprising than sword boy. I was freaking glowing, and I had my dual Spartan swords in my hands. "What the heck am I doing here and why are you looking at me like that?" I asked because I was really curious to know.

"Did you look more closely at where you were standing?" Sword guy asked.

So, I looked like an idiot . And surprise, surprise, I was standing- no hovering in the frigging air above New York City. When I looked back at the guy, the jerk was laughing at me. I don't know what made me do it but I flicked my hand at him. A long flick of lightning flashed off my sword shooting at him. I think he knew because he threw up his hands and the lightning flashed off whatever he had around him. Just when I was about to go beat the answers out of him; he looked at me and said"Ms. King?" Strange that sounds like Mr. Peters?

"Ms.King?" And like that it felt like the world had broken.

My eyes snapped open, the entire class was looking at me. Wow they can't pay attention to a lesson but can listen to me get in trouble;15 year olds.

"Ms.King, would you like to tell the class a fact about the Revolutionary war or the era ?"Mr.Peters asked thinking he had caught me.

"What do you want to know? The fact that they were fighting saying all men were created equal but they had slaves? " Something made me want to push him so I continued,"Or that every time we talk about anything that you think no one knows or remembers, you always ask me?"

" Why is that, is it because I'm the only African American person in here?" I said because I was pumped.

" Or should I go home to tell my dad; Mr. John King the CEO and owner of King enterprises, who by the way donates a huge sum of money to our PTO every year? Were any of those the answers you were looking for Mr.Peters?" I asked way too sweetly.

The whole class started to ooh! and laugh. I smirked at Mr.Peters, I was so tired of him and all the other stupid overpaid idiots that worked here. He looked like he was about twenty five years old,and half the girls in our class had a crush on him. I don't really see what they see in him. But, hey to each his own right?

I was still smiling when I finally looked into his eyes. The laugh dried in my throat. Darkness lurked in them and it scared the hell out of me. After that I could not wait for class to end.
