After I explained everything to Eric he just stared at me in confusion.
"Your father did all that to you? In Amity?" He asks. I nod my head and look down. I feel so ashamed of what my my father has done to me. It makes me feel so broken and torn inside, like my father had taken who I was when I was born, let me grow up, then took that person and tore her to shreds. I am no longer Samantha. I am Scar.
"I cannot believe he would do that",he pauses and balls his fists,"I'm gonna kill him." He growls.
"Don't waste your time thinking about that, I've already so many times and it's no use, it gets me no where." I reply looking him straight in the eyes. He nods then pats my back.
"I will go and take this to the counsel and get Ryan out of this." Eric sighs, then leaves the room, leaving me to wonder if he really is going to follow through with his plan.
When dinner rolled around, I waited till Eric walked in with a smile spread on his face. I continued to sit at the table and smiled when Eric sat next to me.
"It's done. The counsel is taking care of it and when they heard what I said, they completely flipped out. Even Jeanine. She couldn't believe that she didn't know what was going on." He explains as he stares at the food in front of us. I nod then start to pile food onto my plate.
Tobias soon joined us and it wasn't long until his plate was piled high with food.
"Well someone was hungry." I laugh, nudging him with my shoulder.
"Training those new initiates isn't exactly easy." He replies with his mouth full. I stab my meat and take my first bite. It tastes fine. It tastes like meat. I continue to eat the remaining portion of my meat, that us until I get to the middle.
"Damn, the chef didn't cook this all the way " I mumble only Loud enough for me to hear, but that doesn't stop me from eating it. As soon as I take my next bite, my throat starts to burn. Then my stomach. I grab my throat, than Tobias's arm and grip into him tightly.
My dad still managed to poison my food.
I tried yelling or talking and nothing would work. My vision started fading and all I could hear was Tobias' loud voice calling out to me and the medic who had apparently showed up.
My eyes fluttered a few times, then closed, with the picture of Tobias' terrified face.
