Fights and Suspension

Zoe's P.O.V.

I watch as Nick walks up to us in his casual bad boy stride. What could he possibly want now? Doesn't he know that he has done more than enough? I never understood why Zayden was ever friends with that guy.

"Paris, let me tell you one thing. I do what I want, whether it makes things worst or not," Nick says. Out of nowhere, he then punches Zayden in the nose. Gasps are heard from everywhere as Zayden punches him back. That's how their fight starts. They throw punches at each other and elbow and knee each other. I notice Paris cup her hands over her mouth with wide eyes as she stares at the floor. I follow her gaze to see red liquid dripping on the floor. Blood. Two administrators run up and pull them apart. They struggle to continue the fight, but are pulled away and dragged in different directions. I was so on team Zayden, but who knows what would have happened if they weren't separated. I know it wasn't the first time each of them have been in a fight. Oh great. Now we have to go fill out witness reports. There is drops of blood on the floor, but I didn't get a good look at the guys to tell who it belonged to. Paris just stared at where Nick and Zayden were fighting just a moment ago. I wave a hand in front of her face.

She blinks twice. "Yes?" Paris says.

"You spaced out," I reply.

"Sorry. I was just imagining what would have happened if it continued," Paris give a nervous half smile. They fought just a few feet in front of us. If they continued and we didn't move, one of us (or all of us) would have gotten hurt.

"Let's get back to coach," Oliver says and we all walk over to join the rest of the class.

Class finished and we got dressed back in our normal clothes in the locker rooms. My next class is Biology with Paris. We walk to class together.

"So, what do you think will happen to them?" I ask Paris.

"Suspension for sure. Nick could get expelled, but that's up to the principal," Paris replies.

"Was it about the whole Vicky thing?"

"I don't know. I think. Pretty sure. But, I'm not one hundred percent sure. They were arguing when I walked into the gym and they were about to fight. That's when I got there and stopped it, sort of. Nick just walked away. But, then that happened. So, Zayden must have said something for Nick to want to fight him or something," Paris answers as normal. She always thinks things out, so she always has an answer and an explanation.

We walk into Biology and go to sit in our assigned seats. Paris's table is close to the door, while mine is on the other side of the room. There are three rows of tables, three tables in each row. Each table hold three people. So, you get two lab partners. At my table sat that included me (of course), Wyatt, and Jamie. Mr. Linkin begins his lesson on skin cells after the final bell has rung. I sat there staring at the bored in front of me, taking occasional glances at Wyatt. Wyatt and I practically hated each other before. Brooklyn got tired of it. See, Brooklyn is my best friend, even though we got in a lot of arguments. So, for Brooklyn's sake, Wyatt and I apologized to each other. But, after that things have kind of been strange between the two of us. I don't know. I shrug at the thought and focus on what Mr. Linkin is writing on the bored.

"...you see, skin" Mr. Linkin is cut off.

"Beep! Mr. Linkin, please send Paris Cook and Zoe Johnson to the front office. Beep."

Mr. Linkin nodded and Paris and I grabbed our bags and walked to the front office.

"Do you think this is about the fight?" Paris asks.

"What else. I don't think we've done anything wrong," I reply.

As we approach the door to the front office, Nick come out with an older man in a business suit which I assume is his dad. Nick shoots is a glare before looking out to the parking lot. He looks bad. He has a black left eye, there is dry blood under his nose, his bottom lip is slightly purple, and there are a couple of other bruises along his arms and face. Zayden must have hit him pretty hard.

Paris and I look at each other then watch as Nick follows his dad to the parking lot. We walk into the front office and see Oliver already there. Zayden isn't here so I guess he already left. Paris sits next to Oliver and I sit next to her in the waiting chairs.

"Paris, Oliver, and Zoe, please make your way to the counselor's office," one of the ladies at the front desk says. Oliver and I follow Paris to the counselor's office. I have only been there once in freshmen year. Paris has been there a few times for witness reports. One of our friends has been bullied and I guess when your best guy friend starts a fight near you, you automatically become a witness. I don't know, that is just what Paris says some times. Not that Zayden is constantly getting into fights, just that he's been in some. The one time I was here was because I witnessed a senior guy punch Zayden. Paris wasn't there though. We reach the counselor's office.

"Hello, please take a seat," Ms. Bradford gestures to the three seats on the other side of her desk. We all sit down and face her. "Now, I need you to explain everything you witnessed." She pulled out a couple of pieces of paper and a pencil. She took notes as Oliver and I both states that all we saw was the fight, when Nick came up to us and punched Zayden.

"Well, before he punched him he did say 'Paris, let me tell you one thing. I do what I want whether is makes things worst or not.'" Oliver says. Ms. Bradford looks at Paris and Oliver and I follow her gaze. Paris then explain about the fact that Vicky cheated on Zayden with Nick and Nick cheated on Charlott with Vicky, and what happened happened when she got out to the gym.

"I see. You three may go back to class now." Paris and I head back to Biology, while Oliver walks back to Reading.

Paris' P.O.V.

I sit back at my table with London and Tony.

"What happened?" London asks.

"Where is Zayden? He doesn't skip class," Tony asks.

"Zayden and Nick got in a fight. Oliver, Zoe and I got called up as witnesses," I reply to both of them.

"Zayden and Nick fought in gym?" London asks. I nod.

"So, they were both suspended?" Tony asks.

I shrug. "I was going to text him after school and see what happened."

"Sure, that's if he responds," Tony shrugs. "So, you met Oliver?"

I nod. "I actually met his at my uncle's wedding." Tony nods.

The rest of the day goes by fast and soon enough I'm in the school blog room surrounded by cameras and computers. We didn't have a school paper, but we did have a school blog. I sit down in front of my computer and pull out my phone and text Zayden.

Hey! R u ok? What happened?
