Zayden's P.O.V.
I walk into the bathroom as soon as I get home. My dad doesn't care if I get in a fight, as long as I fight back hard. And by the looks of what I did to Nick, he seemed pretty okay. I look at myself in the mirror. My right eye is throbing and I see that I now have a black eye. Fantastic. At least it didn't look major. There is also a small bruis on my left temple. That would explain why my head hurts. I look at my hands and see my knuckles slightly red. I have a bruis on my arm. Nothing is wrong with my nose from when Nick punched me there. I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose. I walk out of the bathroom and into my room. I see my dad has placed my bag into my room. He already left for work again. I sit on my bed and look around my room. What to do? I hear a loud guitar strum coming from the room next to mine. I guess Colton skipped school today. Colton is my older brother. He's a senior at my school and occasionally skips. I get up and walk to my brother's room. I open the door and see Colton standing on his bed with his red electric guitar in his hands. His head practically touched the roof. He looked at me when I walked him.
"I wondered why dad came home early than left," Colton says, hopping down from his bed. "What happened?"
I lean against the door frame. "I got in a fight with Nick."
"And he did that to you?"
"Yeah. And I'm return, I have him his own black eye, bruised lip, bloody nose, and more bruises on his face and arms."
"Uh-huh. Nice job."
"What's your deal? You just decided to skip today?"
"Well, I didn't feeling seeing some people and all teachers, so yeah I skipped," Colton replies. I shrug and turn to leave. "Close my door."
I close the door on my way out and head to the kitchen. I take a couple of pain medicines and walk back to my room. I start to play video games on my private T.V.. Colton ordered meat lovers pizza for lunch and we are it all. I went back to playing video games. I am so bored as I virtually murder people. I don't realize the time until I get a two text messages. One from Paris and the other from Wyatt.
Wyatt:
Tony, Oliver, and I r on our way 2 ur houseI roll my eyes. I figured they would.
Paris:
Hey! R u ok? What happened?Me:
Yeah, I'm okay. Nick and I r both suspended for the rest of the week.Paris:
Wow. I saw Nick.Me:
YeahParis:
Well, I have to go. I'll see you Monday, thenMe:
I'll see u Monday.I hear a knock on the front door. That probably the guys. I walk out of my room and open the front door. Instead of seeing Tony, Oliver, and Wyatt there, I see someone I really don't want to see right now. Vicky. Memory of the Monday I dumped her when I found out floods my mind. She gasps when I open the door.
"What do you want?" I ask her.
"Um...I came to see if you were alright," she answers.
"You don't care. Go find Nick," I roll my eyes at her.
"Zayden...I'm sorry."
"Yeah, right. Can you leave now?" Just as I say that, three cars pull up and out come Wyatt, Tony, and Oliver. Vicky looks back.
"Yeah, okay," she says and leaves.
"What was she doing here?" Tony asks.
"Don't know, don't care," I roll my eyes.
"Nick did that to you?" Wyatt asks. I nod.
"Well, you did worst to Nick. I saw him before he left," Oliver says. We all walk in and start to play some video games.
.....
I wake up Saturday morning to the sound of Colton horribly playing his guitar. He really needs to give it up, but he says it attracts girls. I get dressed and eat breakfast. It's eleven in the morning. My dad has left for work and my mom went to some friends house.
"Come on," Colton says as I place my empty breakfast plate in the sink.
"Where are you going?" I ask.
"We are going to Lowe's. Mom says she needs some cactus plant for her garden," Colton replies. Great. We get into his truck and he drives us to Lowe's that was only a couple of minutes from our house. I hear the song You Give Love A Bad Name by Bon Jovi playing faintly in the background. We walk to the garden center and to the mini cactus plants. There we see Oliver.
"Hey, you look better," Oliver says. He's right. My bruises were gone and my black eye is hardly noticeable.
"Yeah. What are you doing here?" I say.
"My sister sent me to get some plant," Oliver replies.
"Our mom, too," Colton says.
"Girls and plants," Oliver says. We all chuckle.
"What about girls and plants?" says an all too familiar female voice. I turn around to see Paris and London.
"Wow, this is just a reunion of friends?" Oliver says. We all laugh.
"Zayden, mind introducing me to you friends," Colton says eyeing London and Paris.
"Girls, this is my older brother Colton. Colton, this is Paris Cook and London Santiago," I say.
"Paris Cook? As in Ethan Cook major T.V. producer's daughter?" Colton asks.
"Step-daughter. And yes. And you are Colton Hadley, senior player," Paris crosses her arms and rolls her eyes at him. She wasn't wrong. Colton is a player. London is looking off somewhere behind us. Her eyes widen and she pokes her best friends arm.
"Oh, hey, guys. It's been a while," says a voice I seem to remember from somewhere. I turn to see a guy that's my height, with dirty blonde hair, green eyes, and light tan skin. He has definatly changed since freshmen year when he cheated on Paris and then left. His name: Tyrone (Ty) Morrison.
"Not long enough," Paris mumbles.
"How have you guys been?" Ty asks. He's back.
"Okay," I answer.
"Just fine," London adds in a slightly harsh voice. She obviously wanted him to leave. I did too and I know Paris definatly wanted him to leave.
"How about you Paris?" Ty asks.
"I'm just fine. Always have, always will," Paris replies in the same tone London used. She plays with the golden heart locket on her wrist, as she does when she is either nervous or mad. It's identical to the one London has.
"So, you moved back?" I ask Ty. We were good friends. Now, we are just sort of friends.
"Yeah. I'm going to Tigerwoods High School, though." Good he's not going to our school. "Well, I'm going to go. Nice to see you guys again."
"Yeah," I reply and Ty walks away. I face Paris. She's looks up at me and smiles. "Are you okay?"
"Completely over it," Paris replies. Uh-huh. Whatever. I'm not dealing with girl feelings, it only gets ugly. She then pulls out her phone. "Brooklyn's ready. She said she'll meet us at the ice cream shop in ten," she tells London.
"Cool, then let's go. Bye, guys," London says.
"Bye," we say and Paris and London walk away.
"Who was that guy?" Oliver asks.
"Tyrone Morrison. He was Paris' boyfriend in freshmen year before he cheated on her with her worst enemy and she dumped him. Then, he moved," I reply.
"Oh," Oliver says.
"Well, let's get to buying this plant and get out of here," Colton says.
Soon enough, Colton and I are home and are playing video games. The day goes by fast and before I know it, it's Monday.
