Paris' P.O.V.

I walk through the crowded hallways as I make my way to first period. I notice the walls covered in flyers for the upcoming dance this Friday. I hope it's fun. I don't really go to dances because I'm normally studing. I know. I'm a total nerd. But, I'm going to this one because I have to cover it for the school blog. I arrive at my first period class and take my seat. London sits next to my and on my other side, my lovely Chinese friend, Kyla, sits down. Kyla gives great advice and is a totally awesome person. Speaking of advice, I hope Brooklyn's doing good. It feels like Monday. I hate Mondays. They are so Mondayish. If that's even a word. Class goes by fast and I soon find myself just finishing 10 push-ups. Coaches didn't have anything planned this week, so we got to do what ever we wanted.

"Hey, Paris," I hear Zoe's voice say as she comes up to Oliver and I.

I haven't talked to Zoe since Monday. I am upset at what she did, but I will talk to her.

"Hey, guy and girls," Zayden says walking up to the three of us.

"Hey, Zayden. Hey, Zoe," I reply to both of them.

"So, you're not mad at me? It was a mistake. I was in over my head and we were talking and things got complicated. And I thought I liked him, but I was wrong. And I'm super sorry, but she won't talk to me. I don't know what to do. It was all a mistake and I never meant to hurt anyone," Zoe rambles.

"Zoe, it's okay. I am upset at what you did. I'm upset at what both of you did. But, it's in the past and I'm not the one you need to apologizing to. And if she's not talking to you give it some time. She'll be ready to talk soon," I reply.

"Who's she and what happened?" Oliver asks.

"Someone and it's complicated," I reply. I give him an apologetic smile. "Sorry."

We go on with the rest of gym and end up talking about the dance.

"So, Zoe. You still coming with us to the dance?" I ask Zoe. She nods. "Oliver, are you going?"

"Yep," Oliver replies.

"Cool," Zoe says. "Zayden, you coming?"

Zayden shakes his head. "Nah. I don't feel like it."

"How come?" I ask.

Zayden shrugs and his eyes meet mine before looking down at the grass. "I don't know. I just don't feel like going. Things get weird at dances and I don't feeling dealing with weird."

"I deal with weird all the time. How do you think I put up with you guys?" I smile.

"Wow. That hurt," Oliver pretended to be hurt, placing his hand over his heart.

"Yeah, I thought we were friends," Zoe adds.

I laugh. "We are. And that's a compliment. Besides, normal people are boring. You guys are weird." I see Zayden roll his eyes and smile while Oliver and Zoe laugh.

Before I know it, it's lunch time. I sit at my regular table with London, Zoe, Penny, Kyla. The five of us normally sit together with Brooklyn, but Brooklyn didn't come to school today because of some family problems. We all just say down with our lunch trays. Just as I was about to say something, we are joined by three guests. They sit with us without a word. I take a sip of my milk.

"Paris, your boyfriend is here," Kyla whispers into my ear just as I swallow the milk. I choke on the milk after heading what she said. I wanted to slap her. It took my by suprise. I started coughing. "Oh my gosh. Paris are you okay? I was joking." Kyla pats my back. I drink some more milk and my coughing soon disapears.
