"Hey sis you got a mome-" Tyler started but soon froze when he saw the scene unfolding in front of him.
I quickly pulled away from Adelia and looked at him."Never mind I will come back later, sorry for interrupting" he said slowly backing out the door shutting it behind him. I turned my head to look at Lia and she was looking at her lap.
"Li-" I started was was cut short when she cut me off and started blabbering.
"I am so sorry, I don't know what came over me. I have never kissed a girl before and I was so confused I'm sorry you probably don't even like girls, I'm just gonna go now" she rushed as she got of the seat speed waking to the door. I quickly got up behind her and grabbed her wrist and she hissed in pain.
"Oh crap, sorry Lia" I said realising that that was the arm with cuts. I still needed to ask her about it but I don't think now was a good time.
"It's fine" she mumbled not being able to look at me.
"Don't worry about it though, I'm a lesbian. I understand" I stated grabbing her chin gently and forcing her to look at me.
"You are?" She asked obviously shocked at my sudden announcement.
"Yeah, it's not a secret" I said followed by asking the question that has always been on my mind "are you?"
"I..I ..I ..." she cried out quickly yanking free from my grasp and running out the door. Damn, I went to far. Once again Jess, you messed up.
Instead of running after her, I decided to give her some space, time to think. She's probably really confused because she doesn't know what she is and I know how she feels, I was the same when I first had those thoughts. It took me a while to build up the courage to tell everyone, but I am who I am and I don't care what others think. I live my life for me not anyone else and I think that's how everyone should live their life, after all, you only live once. The quote on my arm sums this up, it says 'be who you want to be, you will be criticised either way"
There was a light tap on my door, so I looked up from where I was laying on my back thinking and I saw Tyler.
"Can I come in?" He asked as he peeked his head around the door.
"Yeah" I mumbled as I went back to staring at the ceiling.
He came and laid down next to me, neither of us talking but I could tell something was bothering him. After a few minutes, he decided to break the silence.
"Sorry for er..interrupting earlier, you know?" He said still staring at the ceiling probably feeling a bit awkward.
"Yh, it's fine" I reassured him sighing.
"But get you girl, you've got a hot one there" he said lightening up the mood and starting to be his normal self.
"Don't I just know" I replied.
"So, where do you two stand with each other now then eh?" He asked trying to catch up on all the gossip.
"Argh, I don't know" I sighed as I turned on my side to face him and he did the same.
"What happened?" He asked concern filling his voice.
"You saw what happened" I scoffed stating the obvious.
"Alright, captain obvious, I meant after that" he said and I heard a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
"Well, after you know what, she started rambling on about how sorry she was and how she hadn't kissed a girl before and she didn't know what had come over and then when I told her that I understand and I'm a lesbian she seemed taken aback. I then asked her if she was and she just stuttered and ran out my room" I explained.
"Wow" he said letting out a deep breath.
"Yeah tell me about it" I groaned.
"Have you spoken to her since?" He asked me.
"No, I thought she would have wanted some space to think" I said started to regret my decision "but maybe I should've gone after her to show her I cared."
"Well, you've given her the time to think, so now you can go over there. Even if it doesn't go great...at least you tried" he told me.
"Yeah, I guess" I wondered as I stood up off my bed and did a massive stretch. "See you in a bit" I said as I walked out my room and across the corridor to see Adelia. I knocked on the door gently.
"Come in" I heard someone call quietly.
I took a deep breath and slowly opened the door. Lia was sitting on the bed wrapped in the bedsheets, you could tell she had been crying because her eyes were red and puffy and her face was blotchy but somehow, she still managed to look pretty.
"Hey, you okay?" I whispered as I entered the room quietly shutting the door behind me.
"Yeah, I'm fine" she sniffled.
"Well that's a lie" I bluntly stated as I got comfortable on the bed next to her and she just looked down at her lap. "Come on Lia, talk to me" I begged.
"There's nothing to say" she whispered.
"Okay, we'll start of slow." I decided. "Why did you do it?"
"I already told you I don't know!" She snapped.
"Alright, alright, calm down" I said as I placed my hand on her shoulder. "Did you just wanna know how it felt?"
"I guess" she mumbled.
"Look Lia, you can open up to me. I know how you feel, I'm a lesbian remember, and I've been exactly where you are. Thinking its a phase, just wanting to experiment, having these strange feelings and not knowing what to do. You name it, I've probably been there" I explained.
"I guess, I just wanted to see what it felt like to kiss a girl." She told me, looking up through her long brown hair. "I promise it won't happen again" she blabbered.
"It's fine, but did you like it?" I asked, this question could give me the answer to everything.
Hey guys, cliffhanger again, sorry.
