End of the school day...

-

Chuuya sat at his cramped desk in his science class as the teacher yammered on about some school festival over the weekend. He simply couldn't wait to not go to. The teacher talked while he handed back graded homework.

Chuuya's tired eyes were soon met with his paper.

"Ugh.." He whispered to himself. He got a C+ with 78%. The other students around him were talking about the festival, how fun it would be, even talking about wearing matching outfits with their friends.

Why would you wear matching costumes to a school event?

Couples costumes are cute as hell and you know it.

I succumb.

The boy snapped out of his thoughts when the end of class bell rang. The now tired boy stood up with a C in his hands. He followed the rest of his class out to the hallway, walking to his locker with a surprising amount of grace for such a crowded hall.

He spun the lock, quickly landing on numbers.

10.. 36.. 02.

He pulled up the handle and swung the metal door open, quickly grabbing his dark gray jacket and neon orange drawstring bag. He threw the bag over his shoulder and closed his locker only to see his.. Uh.. Aquaintance, Osamu Dazai standing close behind the door.

Chuuya shrieked in surprise at the unexpected appearance of the boy he rarely talked to, causing a few people to look in their direction.

"Chuuya-san! Long time no speak!" He said, smiling and waving his left hand.

"Dazai-san, how's it going?" Chuuya was confused as to why the brunette wanted to talk. They rarely even conversed. The only time they really socialized with one another was when they were both around Atushi, so why now?

I'm not complaining, though.

But he's attrActive~.

SHUT UP, CONSCIENCE.

"I was wondering if you were going to the festival this weekend? I was planning to go with Atsushi-kun, but he's been out sick since yesterday." Dazai said with a breathy voice, making small hand gestures as he spoke.

Chuuya contemplated; he wasn't planning on going. But he didn't feel like he spent enough time with Dazai.

I already had plans.

Masturbation isn't a plan, Chuuya.

Damnit.

"I mean, I didn't plan on going. Isn't there someone else you could ask?" He responded. The taller boy shrugged.

"Akutagawa-kun already turned me down, and you were close by."
