The Cat Journal

Entry #7- By Walle, Wabu, Wiki, & Wapka --In Memory of Max--

The Wattpad community lost a fellow feline yesterday. 

KevinHanlon's Max the Cat.

He was the inspiration for us to begin this Cat Journal. 

It is a terrible thing when a cat passes. It was much too early for Max to go. 

We have suffered losses to our numbers in the past. 

Before Wabu, Wiki and Lilly there was the famous trio- Wapka, Walle and Allan. 

Allan was found under a trailer by the river, the bottom of his paws burnt off and no bigger than the palm of a 13 year old girl. Walle took him under his wing and cared for him like a little brother. We all fell in love with our little bear. But then about a year after he found his way to us, he went out one day for his walk and never came home. We searched and searched and looked for weeks...but we never found him. We like to think he has found a home in the rich part of the neighborhood...even though we know it isn't true.

After Allan dissapeared we adopted Wabu as a companion for Walle who, despite his usually care-free nature, had become depressed. It was only a couple months later that Lilly came prancing into our lives. Lilly was found on the side of the road near the stables. Mum was reluctant to bring home a fourth cat, but luckily Lilly's big blue eyes changed her mind.

Then not even a year later, during the summer, Lilly too went out for a stroll. And we never saw her again. We hoped that perhaps someone had taken her in as their own since Lilly was a beautiful white cat. But we knew that was unlikely.

Not two weeks later did we find ms. Wiki. I am determined to keep Wiki safe. Thus all our cats have names that begin with W, as it seems to keep them safe.
