I woke up, I was leaning against Zak. "What the hell Bagans? When did you get back here?"
"Aaron swapped me spots a few minutes after you fell asleep." Zak explained.
"Why?" I asked.
Zak shrugged.
"What a great answer, really. You should go on a game show." I said sarcastically.
"Why are you so depressing?" Aaron asked from the front seat.
"Because I can be." I opened my phone.
"We should be at the Harvey House/Castaneda Hotel in about 10 minutes." Jay said.
"Awesome." I said.
"We're actually the first paranormal investigators that have been able to investigate this place." Zak said.
We pulled up to an abandon hotel.
"This is Castaneda." Aaron said.
"Ok grab a recorder, camera, and stay behind us rookie." Zak got out of the car.
I went out after him. "Ok." I grabbed a recorder and camera out of the back and followed the boys to the front of the building.
There was a woman at the door, her name was Kathy. We went inside into the ballroom. Zak and Kathy started talking about the tin roof and the architecture of the building.
I walked out of the ballroom, up the stairs, and into a room. I felt drawn to it, I started taking pictures. I sat down in the center of the room with my back to the door. I closed my eyes and tried to focus. The energy felt sad.
"Lilia, what are you doing? Zak's been looking for you." Jay said.
"Sorry. Where's Zak? I want to see if he can feel the energy in here." I got up.
"He's downstairs, doing another interview." Jay said.
I heard people coming up the stairs. I walked over to the door and stood next to Jay.
Zak stopped by me on his way down the hall. "You ok?"
"Yeah, why do you care?" I asked.
"Well we're almost done with the interviews and then we're going to the hotel. K?" Zak put his hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"You just look a little pale, you sure you're ok?" Zak asked.
"I'm good, I'm good. Go finish your interview." I walked down the hall to the stairs. I missed a step on the stairs and almost fell. Something kept me from falling. At first I thought it was one of the boys but I turned and no one was there. I turned on my recorder.
"Hello there."
"Zak! Aaron!" I yelled.
I heard footsteps approaching me fast.
"Lilia are you ok?" Zak asked franticly.
I leaned up against the wall, I was breathing hard. "Yeah, I think may have gotten an EVP." I handed him the recorder.
He played the recording.
"Hello there." A sweet woman's voice played, then me yelling for Zak and Aaron.
"Holy crap dude." Aaron said.
I took a deep breath. "I'm gonna go sit in the car." I walked down the stairs and out the front doors.
