T H E M Y S T E R Y O F T H E R O Y A L R O S E
October the 31st 8:30am
It was another day and Eloise woke up feeling full of energy. Then she found she had a call not long ago, she was wondering who and what the call was, then pressing the message button the phone admitted a voice, “Hey Eloise! Happy birthday! Meet me at the local park! See ya there! Bye!” End of message. Eloise smiled happily but then quickly frowns and sighed.
“She knows I don’t like doing anything on my birthday,” Eloise muttered to herself while getting breakfast for herself.
“Where is she? She should be here now,” Someone muttered irritably to themselves while leaning on a tree, and then a voice called out to them.
“Hey, Katie! Over here!” Eloise shouted, waving her hands to Katie. “There you are! I’ve been waiting for ages. Come on, we’re gonna catch a train,” Katie quickly explained. Eloise looked back questionably at Katie who only just replied saying to go. “We might miss it.” Together they quickly ran to the train station.
Finally, they reached the train station; they got their tickets and ran into the train, merely missing the closing doors. “These trains have carriages? Weird.” Eloise bluntly stated. “Sorry, I meant compartments.” Katie nodded in reply. Katie quickly chose a compartment and open the door. “This one’s empty.” They quickly went in and sat down; trying to get comfortable. A voice filled their compartment, a speaker “Welcome passengers to the Royal Rose. We will be going off now, please sit back and enjoy your ride and the journey.”
“Oh I’m so excited!” Katie exclaimed jumping in her seat. Eloise only came back with a reply saying, “Why are you so excited. Aren’t I’m supposed to be the one excited?” Katie shrugged and continued jumping on her seat. Katie showed she was excited and couldn’t wait to get there. Then they both got comfortable as the train started moving.
12:00pm
As time passed, the train kept rolling, stopping at each station; or so they thought. Eloise decided to look out and watch the passengers go out onto the platform. But only she didn’t see that, she saw the train kept going. Why hadn’t the train stopped? Was this happening at all the stops? Why hadn’t I realised? Eloise wondered to herself. Eloise looked out once again, and the train truly didn’t stop. Eloise quickly accepted the fact and looked at Katie sternly. Katie looked back confused, “What’s wrong?” Eloise looked out and said, “The train hasn’t stop.” Katie quickly glances outside and nodded in agreement. “As far as I know, we’re stuck here until someone fixes the problem also this a new case to solve.” Knock! Knock! Eloise and Katie jumped and looked at their compartment door, a man in a top hat came in.
“Hello, sorry for disturbing you but it seems this train hasn’t stopped at of the stations. I’m here to investigate, would you mine and help me with this matter,” the man asked.
Eloise thought and asked, “Look, sir. We want to investigate, would you mind and let us help too? My name is Eloise and this is my friend Katie.” Katie nodded and waved her hands while plastering a smile on her face.
