Picture of Maisie and Skylar's necklace^

I wake up to a small knock on my door. The door opens and my sisters sweet little face peeks in. She sees me looking at her and smiles before coming over to my bed.
"Happy Birthday Sky!!" Maisie says, wrapping her tiny arms around me.
"Thank you Mais," I say, hugging her back.
"Daddy said to get up, he made you a birthday breakfast," Maisie says in her adorable little voice.
"Ok, tell daddy I'll be down in a minute," I say.
"Where did you get that pretty necklace?" Maisie asks curiously, reaching out her hand to touch the necklace Alec gave me. I forgot I was wearing it.
"Can I tell you a secret?" I ask Maisie.
"Yeah," she answers, her face lighting up.
"You have to promise not to tell daddy," I say. Maisie nods, eager for me to tell her my secret.
"Last night I went to the beach and saw Alec there, he gave me this as a birthday present," I say. Maisie's eyes get wide and she smiles big.
"It's so beautiful. Alec must be a really good boyfriend," Maisie says excitedly.
"No Mais, he's not my boyfriend, he's my best friend. There's a difference," I say and Maisie smiles.
"Ok, but I think he likes you," Maisie says sweetly.
"Oh come on," I say and ruffle her hair, "Let's go eat."
I stand up from bed and take Maisie's little hand in mine. We head to the stairs and walk down into the kitchen. I walk in and the sweet smell of pancakes fills my nose. My dad stands at the stove and flips a pancake before putting it on a plate.
"Daddy I got Skylar up," Maisie says.
My dad turns around and walks towards me.
"Happy birthday baby girl," my dad says and wraps his arms around me. He pulls back and puts his hands on my shoulders and looks at me.
"You look more and more like your mother every day," my dad says, a small tear forming in the corner of his eye. He smiles before turning back to the pancakes.
I sit down at the table with Maisie and my dad sets two plates down in front of us. I grab the syrup before pouring it all over my pancake, then I pour it over Maisie's pancakes. My dad sits down across from us with his own plate.
"Where did you get that necklace?" My dad asks, looking at the necklace still hanging around my neck. I guess I forgot to take it off.
"Um, last night when you were at that meeting, Alec stopped by to give me this as my birthday present, since he wasn't sure if he'd see me at all today," I say, hoping he bought my lie.
"Oh, well it's beautiful, really suits you," my dad says, taking a bite of his pancake. I smile, glad he bought it.
We finish eating and I head upstairs to get ready for the reaping. I open my closet doors and look at all of my dress options. Suddenly there's a knock at my door. I open it to see my dad standing there, holding a box.
"Here's a little birthday present, thought you should have it now," my dad says and I open the box. I pull out a beautiful white dress made of silk, there is a white ribbon around the waist and lace sleeves that go to my elbow. The dress is about knee length.
"Thank you dad I love it so much!!" I say and wrap my arms around him
"You're welcome, now get ready, and get your sister ready, I have to get there early today, there's a new escort who needs my help," my dad says in an annoyed voice.
