I wake up to more screaming, I'm guessing from Alec. I hurry up and stand up, ignoring the pain in my ankle, since it's only been a few hours. I hurry to Alec's room and open the door. He's sitting on a couch near his window.
"Alec," I say and he turns to look at me.
"Skylar, you shouldn't be on your ankle," Alec says quietly and turns back to the window.
"Well I'm worried about you, I wanted to make sure you're ok," I say and sit down next to him. I put a hand on his arm and set my chin on his shoulder, looking out the window with him. He sighs and pats my hand.
"You need to go back to bed, get some sleep," Alec whispers. I nod before giving him a quick hug and going back to my room.

"Skylar, wake up, it's an important day," says Estella loudly, waking me up from my sleep.
I rub my eyes and sit up. Estella hurries out of my room, I'm guessing to get Luca up. I stretch before standing up and walking over to my dresser. My ankle feels so much better. I find a pile of clothes on top of it, so I hold them up. The shirt is a tank top, and is gray with black on the sides. The pants go to my knees and is an athletic material. The pants are black with gray down the sides, I'm guessing to match the top. I pull them on then look at myself in the mirror. I decide to pull my hair into a side braid. I look at the necklace that's been sitting on my dresser since yesterday. I smile and rub my fingers over it before heading out for breakfast.
"Good morning Skylar," Sylvia says when I walk into the dining room.
"Good morning," I say with a smile and sit down across from her. Estella sits at the end of the table, busily eating her waffles. I take a plate with some waffles and add some fruit and syrup.
"Morning. How's your ankle?" Alec asks, sitting down next to me.
"It's much better," I say happily.
"That's good, I didn't like seeing you in pain," Alec says.
"Well, I guess you'll hate seeing me in the games." I say with a nervous laugh.
"Yeah, I'm not looking forward to the games," Alec says seriously. We all sit there in an awkward silence until Luca walks out and sits next to Sylvia.
"Don't work on any of your skills at training today, because the other tributes could use them against you. Work on other weapons just in case you can't get your preferred weapon in the arena, and don't forget to work on survival skills, those are very important," Sylvia says.
I nod and Luca just keeps eating.
"You two should get going, you don't want to be late," Estella says. I stand up and Estella leads Luca and I to the elevator. I look over my shoulder and give Alec a nervous look. He smiles and gives me a thumbs up. I playfully roll my eyes with a laugh and enter the elevator. Estella presses the button for the training center and steps back as we shoot down. It's a painful couple second elevator ride since Luca keeps death staring me.
Finally we arrive on the floor and step out into the training center. Most of the districts are already there. We walk over to where the tributes are gathered around some lady. Once the last two districts get there, the lady, who's name is Astra, explains the rules before letting us free to train. I decide to head to the archery station, since I've tried it before, and I'm not horrible at it.
I walk up to the station and pick up the bow and an arrow. I pull the arrow back and aim for the heart. I let go and it hits the arm. I sigh in frustration.
