Chapter 10 ~ LA

Mark woke up early Sunday morning, he looked over to see Lainey still sleeping. Mark smiled to himself looking at how cute Lainey was sleeping. He thought he'd make Lainey breakfast this morning. Mark was in the middle of making waffles when Lainey woke up and came to the kitchen with her pjs still on.

"Ooo it smells good." Lainey said walking into the kitchen.
"Morning to you too." Mark laughed.
"Yeah yeah morning, what are you making." Lainey walked next to Mark.
"Waffles." Mark kissed Lainey's head. "There's some already done on the table."
"You know this is a reason I love you." Lainey sat down at the table.
"Lainey did you want help setting up your new channel today?" Mark asked sitting down.

Lainey nodded yes with a mouth full of food. After eating Mark and Lainey went to set up Lainey's new channel called, Lainey Games. After they set up Lainey recorded a few thing with Mark for both their channels. After recording Mark took Lainey out for a night on the town. They ended up at the park. They were both on the swings. It was around 2:00am when Mark looked at his phone, he didn't care that he would be tired because the love of his life was right next to him. They finally got home around 3:00am, causing them both to go straight to sleep. Lainey woke up around 1:00 in the afternoon, she left a note saying she went to the store, she grabbed her keys and left the apartment. Lainey ran to the store getting a few things. Lainey was at a stoplight when everything happened. Mark woke up to his phone ringing.

"Hello?" Mark answered his phone.

Mark didn't say a thing when he listened to the person on the phone he just hung up, grabbed his car keys and sped to the hospital. When he got there he asked for Lainey's room number then rushed to her room to find her laying unconscious on the bed hooked up to tons of machines. Mark called Maddie telling her what had happened, Maddie said she was coming to LA to see Lainey. Mark sat by Lainey's side, never want ping to leave.

"Lainey you need to stay here. Lainey you can't die, I wanna live my whole life with you." Mark teared up grabbing her hand.

Mark sat there for a bit till a doctor came into the room. Mark stood up when the doctor entered.

"You're Mr. Fischach I presume?" The doctor asked.
"Yes." Mark slightly nodded.
"Well Ms. Lightheart is very lucky someone called when they did. She did sustain a few major injuries, the rest weren't as bad and we're all minor injuries. The biggest ones we have to worry about are the broke rib and bit of head damage." The doctor spoke coldly trying to be sympathetic.
"Yes doctor." Mark managed to say.
"We're gonna take her into surgery to fix up the rib, so if you wouldn't mind waiting out in the waiting room." The doctor said as nurses walked in taking Lainey away.

Mark sat in the waiting room, wanting to go back to Lainey. Damn. Mark thought to himself, that should be me.

"I might lose her. I can't lose her." Tears started to blur Mark's vision.

After a few hours the doctor finally came out and walked over.

"Mr. Fischach?" The doctor said.
"Yes?" Mark walked over.
"She will make a full recovery." The doctor told him.
"Can I see her?" Mark asked.

The doctor nodded, then walked away. Mark walked to Lainey's room, where she lay on her bed.

"Mark?" Lainey said looking in the direction of the door.
"Yes Lainey I'm here." Mark said walking over then grabbing her hand. "I'm so glad you're okay."
"I would never leave you." Lainey smiled.
"Good, because I plan on living with you forever." Mark smiled back.
"How long do I have to be here Mark?" Lainey asked.
"No long. Now get some sleep." Mark kissed Lainey's forehead.

Lainey fell asleep on her bed and Mark on the chair. The next morning Mark went to the cafeteria and got Lainey breakfast. When Lainey woke she ate what Mark brought her, and they talked for a bit. Around noon Maddie and Jack came in through the door.

"Maddie? Jack?" Lainey looked at them.
"Oh thank god you're okay." Maddie walked over and hugged Lainey softly
"Why wouldn't I be, I always pull through." Lainey smiled.
"Hey short stop." Jack smiled.
"Hey Jack." Lainey looked at him. "And I told you not to call me that."

They four of sat in the room and talked for a while.

"How have you guys been other then now of course." Maddie asked.
"Couldn't be happier." Lainey answered. "And you guys?"
"We've been amazing." Jack answered.
"Oh geez what time is it?" Maddie asked.
"9:30pm." Mark looked at his phone.
"Well I think it's time for us to get back to the hotel." Jack stood up.
"Have a good night." Mark stood up also to say goodbye.
"You too." Maddie hugged Lainey then Mark.

Jack and Maddie left leaving Mark and Lainey alone. Lainey moved over enough to allow Mark to laid down with her. They two fell asleep together sleeping through the night.
