Chapter 9

We walked over to his car he opened the passenger door for me and closed it. I watched him as he made his way around the car and for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about him and Victoria.. had they made plans? was he really planning on going out with her... Well I shouldn't care he's not my boy friend and he'll probably never be.

"You ok?" He asked with concerned in his voice.

I snapped back from my thoughts.

"Yea.. um sorry i was just thinking about something"

"Are you hungry ? wanna get something to eat? "

"No it's fine I'm not hungry "

"Well.. I'm starving! I'm sure you are too I'm taking you out to eat whether you like it or not " he said with a smirk

I sat there defeated he instantly brought up my mood I can't even decline his offer anymore... all that escaped through my mouth was a giggle.

"That smile is telling me you're hungry!"

"You caught me" dammit he made me smile.

"So tell me what's your favorite food?" he said again with a smirk.

"Well I love french fries I can never get tired of em"

"French fries it is ! "

He started his car and he began to drive.

"So what do you plan on doing after High school ?" He said looking concentrated on the road.

"Well I'm leaning towards getting an English major I honestly love to write"

"Oh really?!" he said excitedly.

"If my dad didn't have his company id probably be an English teacher I have a passion for literature too, but don't get me wrong I'm also interested in business my dad has always inspired me and I've always looked up to him. "

I was a bit surprised that we shared the same interests I couldn't be even more attracted to him.

"I think its great that you look up to your dad I also look up to my parents they aren't rich but they're very hard working people I look up to them for their work ethic and for caring so much for me and my brother I love them very much ."

"I'm not gonna lie my dad is a very hard working man also but he's way to invested in his job at times well most of the time. And my mom is a doctor and she likes going out of the country to help some families in need of medicine and care. So most of the time I'm on my own at home."

"Wow i'm sorry to hear that.."

"I mean it's ok i'm kind of used to it but it'd be nice to have them around more"

"If you ever feel alone you're welcome to hang out with me"

Did I just say that..

he looked over towards me for a second with a smile

"I'll definitely keep that in mind"

We arrived at a diner that'd id never been to before I wonder if their food is good.

"They have the best fries that I've ever tasted" He said almost reading my thoughts.

"We'll see about that" I said with a smirk.

He opened his door and said "Wait here"

He made his way around the car and opened the door for me

"You are quite the gentleman"

He smiled at my response.

We walked in and sat across from each other at a booth near a window. I grabbed a menu and scanned it with my eyes.

"Their Cheese burgers and Oreo milkshakes are bomb! you should try those too."

I giggled. "Ok ill try them"

A young waitress came over and I could see her eyeing down Tyler already..

"What would you guys like to order?"

"We would like a large basket of fries , two cheese burgers and two Oreo milkshakes."

"Ok i will be back with your food shortly" The waitress said nervously.

"Thank you!" Tyler said politely .

He then leaned in

"The food here is great and always has been my parents used to bring me here when I was younger "

I looked around the diner

"Really ? Thats sweet and I'm sure it is it smells great in here"

A Few minutes went by and the waitress came over with our order.

She eyed Tyler.
"Here you go you guy's enjoy "

"Thank you " Tyler and I said in sync.

"Jynx now you owe me a soda!" I said with a smirk.

"What kind of soda do you like?"

"I actually happen do like Dr. Pepper too." I said with a smile.

"We have a lot in common I think its meant to be." He said with smirk.

WHAT He must be joking...

I felt a blush creep through my cheeks.

"Try the fries before they get cold" he demanded.

I grabbed a fry and took a bite.

"Oh my god this is amazing"

"Wait till you try the milkshake and the cheese burger" he said with amusement in his voice.

We finished our meals and I was completely stuffed.

"Wow that's was amazing!"

"I'm glad you liked it"

He took got his wallet and took out a 20 and placed it on the tray.

"Let me pay for half" I said.

"Its my treat Carrie don't worry about it ." He said with a grin .

We got up and left the Diner. We walked towards his car and I wasn't surprised that'd he'd run to the passenger side and opened the door for me again.

"Thank you " I said and got in.

He made his way around the car and again I took the chance of checking him out without him noticing . Wow I wish today could last a bit longer. I really enjoy his company. I wonder if he does this with all his girl friends I shouldn't have any high hopes. But I can't help it.

He opened the car door and he snapped me back to reality.

"Shall we head home?"

"We shall " I said with a smile.

We finally made it to my house and he drove to my parkway.

"Thanks for today sorry for the coffee on your shoes"

"Its no problem I'm glad you ran into me.. I'd love to know more about you.."

"I'd love to know more about you too"

He looked at me intensely and I had a a tingly sensation in my tummy . He slowly began to lean towards me...

Ring! Ring !Ring !

He grabbed his phone from his pocket and looked at the screen

"Sorry its my dad"

"It's ok ill see you tomorrow"

"Ill text you !"

I opened the passenger door.

"Bye" I smiled and I walked towards my front door.
