"Today we only have half of class, so all we need to do today is pick partners." The teacher said.

Sometimes being lonely has its perks, Victor thought. This isn't one of them.

Obviously. Nothing sucks more than having to choose partners in a new school my mind agreed.

"You may choose your partners but in 5 minutes I expect you to be ready" the teacher explained.

Translation: Everybody but the new kid is fine, but he is fucked.

Victor started to go around the class, looking for a perfect candidate. He seen this girl, sitting by herself, reading. Her blonde, shoulder length hair. It was curled perfectly at the tips, while surrounding a perfect body. He didn't know how, but he started to make his way over to her.

"Hello" Victor said, with the friendliest voice he could muster.

"Hi" she said with no emotion.

Straight- forward or friendly? He wondered. Friendly. He decided.

"How are you?" He asked.

"Well, better now that you asked" she answered before shutting her book. "What's your name?" She asked, giving him her full and undivided attention.

"Victor" he answered. "Yours?"

"You can call me Aly. But my real name is Alecia." She answered.

"Want to be lab partners?" Victor asked.

"If you are good at science" she joked.

"That's for you to find out" Victor replied. "Curious?"

"That's fine with me then" she sweetly replied.

Then the bell rang.

"Bye aly" victor said.

"Bye" she said while walking out.
