Kaila's POV

Andito ako ngayon sa National Bookstore. I'm kind of upset because Ericka and Selena met up with Mika and her other friends without me. I wanted to go with them, but I was really busy with a group project. Since the school year started, I have been really stressing out. I mean, it's my last year as High School student. I'll be college in a few months from now, and I atleast want to leave a good reputation before I graduate.

Anyway, naghahanap ako ng materials na gagamitin ng group namin sa Philosophy Class. It's like, reporting but in style. Mr. Sandoval says he wants to see us put some effort, so yeah. Hanap lang ako ng hanap ng materials na nakasulat sa checklist ko nang may kumalabit sakin. I turned around, and saw— OH MY GOSH! It's Kevin Gabe!

"Hey," he said and smiled sweetly at me. He's so handsome! "I think I've seen you before.. You were one of those girls Mika met with at the coffee shop right?"

"A-ahh.. Yeah, that's me. Girl in the, uhm, coffee shop. Yep. Really me." I replied awkwardly. Gosh, Kaila! Pull yourself together! "Uhm.. You're, uhh.. Mika's boyfrie— I mean Ex Boyfriend.. Wait that was not really necessary to mention. Oh gosh, i'm sorry."

He looked at me like I was really weird, but smiled very warmly. Shems, ang gwapo talaga..

"Oh, no worries. I mean, kasalanan ko din naman kasi eh. I shouldn't have done that. Nawala tuloy siya sakin.. But I guess, I just need to move on." He said sadly. Wait, am I hearing this right? This guy, known for being a famous womanizer, is trying to move on? Maybe Selena was wrong! He might not be so bad after all.

"Ohh.. Ah, oo nga. Hehe, move on.." I said, trying to give him an encouraging smile but ended up giving him a creepy one. Damn it, Kaila! Why?!

"Are you alright? Para ka'ng kinakabahan tapos pautal utal ka pa." He said. Omg. Ano sasabihin ko? Isip Kaila! Isip!

"Uhm, sorry. I, uhh, drank uhmm milk! It makes me nervous." I said, and he looked at me suspiciously. Did I say something wrong?

"Milk? Aren't you supposed to drink coffee to be nervous?" He asked. Oh shoot! Tanga! Why the heck did I say milk?? I was supposed to say coffee! This is so embarrassing.

"Ahh, hahaha. Milk kind of has the nervous effect on me kasi. But siyempre, milk is healthy so still need to drink atleast once a week!" I said, with an awkward laugh.

"Ohh," He said, looking at me like I was someone who escaped from an asylum. Jusme! Lupa, lamunin niyo na ko. "Uh, by the way I forgot to introduce myself. Kevin Gabe dela Rosa, I study at AIU mixed division. Call me Kevs or Kevin if you like. Most people know me as Kevin Gabe though."

"Ohh. I think i'll stick with Kevin Gabe." I said. "I'm Kaila Guidotti. I study at AIU too, although i'm from the girls division."

He smiled sweetly and I swear, I felt like a whole amusement park was in my stomach. He extended his hand then said, "Nice to meet you, Kaila." I took his hand and shook it, and to my surprise, he kissed my hand! He's such a gentleman. He finally let go of my hand and winked at me. I instantly blushed because of the gesture. Gosh! What is happening to me?

"So, care to join me for a snack somewhere?" He asked. And without thinking, I just nodded with an excited smile and said, "Sure!". As soon as I was finished gathering the materials I need, we both walked out and searched for some place to eat. Habang naglalakad kami, naalala ko yung mga kaibigan ko. Gosh, Selena and Ericka will kill me if they ever find out about this.

A few minutes later, we've decided to eat at the food court para maraming options. If Selena was here right now, she'd probably roll her eyes and tell Kevin Gabe how cheap he is.

"So, what do you want to eat?" He asked, breaking the silence. Kanina pa kasi kami nakaupo dito and walang nagsasalita.

"Uhm, kahit ano." I told him without making eye contact. Paano ko to matitignan ng maayos? Bukod sa napaka-awkward ko kanina, I agreed to go with him pero di rin naman ako nagsasalita. Mas pinapahiya ko lang sarili ko.

He chuckled at me then said, "Ano ba yung 'kahit ano' na yan? Do you know where I could buy that food?"

Napaka-corny niya. Normally, I would have been sarcastic and roll my eyes at him but I didn't. I actually laughed at his joke. Wait, let me rephrase that. I actually laughed too much at his joke. I immediately stopped and smiled awkwardly at him.

"Hey," I said. "I'm really sorry if i'm an awkward company. I'm just, well.. .See, it's my first time to even hangout with a guy that isn't my brother or cousin. In short, I'm hanging out with someone who is NOT my relative. It's something new."

He smiled at me then said, "Well, it's an honor to escort the one and only Kaila Guidotti on her first guy hangout."

I chuckled at what he said and he did the same. "It's a good thing you consider this a hangout though, I mean we look like we're on a date." I suddenly said out of the blue. Wait, DID I JUST TELL HIM I THOUGHT WE WERE DATING?! Kaila! How can you be so stupid?! I glanced at him nervously and I can see him looking at me with a smirk, but the smirk faded as soon as he caught me staring at him.

"Well, I suppose we can call this a date." He replied with a wink. WHAT? NO!

"What?!" I said a bit too loud, causing some people to look at us. Okay, nakakahiya na talaga.

"Chill! I'm just kidding." He said then laughed.

"Baliw ka! Bumili ka na lang food. Pabili na lang ako Milktea, i'll pay you when you get back."

"No," Kevin Gabe said. "It's on me." Then stood up and went to buy our snacks. I felt my self blushing. Gosh, what are you doing to me Kevin Gabe? I know my friends would disagree with what i'm feeling..

We finished eating and now he's walking me to my car. It's a little bit late already, but I really enjoyed Kevin Gabe's company. It felt.. Perfect.

"Hey," he started. "I really enjoyed hanging out with you."

I smiled the glanced at him, "I did too."

"So, does that mean we could hangout again?" He asked. My mind went blank, my heartbeat went crazy. And I don't know how I replied, but I just felt my head nod and then I said, "Sure! I'd love to see you some time!"

He smiled at me. "Well, we're at your car already.. So.. Uhm, can I get your number? You know, to text you when we can both hangout."

"Sure." I replied, then we exchanged phone numbers. Ericka would probably be strangling me right now.. Meh.

"Thanks!" He said. "Well, I guess this is good-bye then."

I nodded and stared at him. "To be honest, I really enjoyed this. Thank you." I saw him smile at me, and I don't know how it happened but I just kissed him.. On the cheek. He was stunned, and he couldn't utter a word. I chuckled a bit. "Good night, Kevin Gabe. See you when I see you."

I went into my car and drove off. I saw him give me a good-bye wave and a flying kiss. I felt myself smile. I never felt this happy my entire life. Oh Kevin Gabe, what have you done?
