This chapter will mainly consist of Honey meeting the mystery person...FYI
HONEY
I pulled up to the parking lot of Cranes. The restaurant was sort of upscale but around tax season the ratchets could afford to eat here too. I sat out in my car looking at the entrance of the establishment. If this was Jelly I knew there would be a whole new war going on, especially since I moved on with Tay. It was mid August and I was sweating bullets. I was nervous but I was wondering did she know that her ex and I are shacking up and raising baby Ava. I didn't want to face the funk and thought I never would have to face her with her being out of the picture but I guessed wrong huh? My satin crop top was now sticking to me as perspiration drenched my body. I looked over at the clock. Ten minutes after seven. I took a deep breath and exited the car. The bottom of my my champagne Zenotti heels clicked with every step I took. I was looking good for the occasion.
I looked around but everyone was paired with someone so I'm guessing she's late. I slid into the booth with ease while grabbing a menu. I needed a stiff drink.
"Hi ma'am, I'm Allison your server for today. What can I start you off with?" the waitress asked. Her Colgate smile dared me to smile. Her dainty curls cascaded her face giving her an innocent look, but her tight ass uniform said otherwise. I'd say slut but I couldn't cause I should be the last one to talk.
"Um yes could you get me two shots of green apple Ciroc and a Long Island Ice Tea?" I asked.
"Sure anything else? Would that be all?" she asked.
"Yes, thank you," I closed my menu and grabbed my phone. I scrolled through Facebook and indulged in the pure foolery of America now. I was so into it I didn't hear somebody slide into the booth.
"Well look who we have here, thought you would flake on me," she said. Jelly sat there looking like a new woman. Her champagne satin button down screamed high class and Her hair was different. Way different. The honey blonde curls were bold and shaped her face flawlessly. Her make up was done to the nines and there was a mark which looked to be healing on Her forehead.
"Don't you clean up nice," I said.
" I could say the same," she spat back."Here Are your drinks," the waitress sat the drinks down and sashayed away.
"Oh drinks! You shouldn't have," Jelly said. She took both shots of the Apple Ciroc that I had ordered. I gave her a menacing look and she shook her head in amusement, "if you drove here you shouldn't be drinking that much anyway Honey."
"Cut the shit, what you want Jelly?" I asked getting straight to the point.
"Hold ya horses bitch, I'll talk when I'm ready," she said this time with way more attitude. Her now once flawless face turned into a sinister mean mug."Bitch? Girl chill the fuck out, your ass back from the dead and think you running shit," I snapped back.
"No you the one think you running shit, you better take it down a few notches since I generously gave you my man by default. So pipe down patty." Her voice was below a whisper but sinister enough to send chills walking down my spine.
"Ok bitch and? What are you going to do now?" I asked.
"Claim what's mine and that would be my man. Dead or alive," she said.
"You called me out here for a man? Girl I hope you're playing," I said. I took a huge gulp of my drink cause this bitch has definitely lost it.
"Not really that Honey, slow down I have a proposition for you,"she said. Her well manicured fingers intertwined as she sat her head on them. "I need you to help me take out Giana, and you can have Tay, but if you don't let's just say Tay will be back where I left him. At home," she said softly. I looked her in her eyes and thought about her words, did I really want to lose Tay?
"You can't make a man want you if he doesn't," I spat.
"Who said anything about him wanting me cause if I can't have him nobody can, but the Lord," she said.
"You can't be serious," I said.
"As a bitch getting her food stamps," she said.
"Why Jelly?" I asked.
"Cause BITCH this is pay back. Your ass couldn't wait to dethrone me! Couldn't wait to take my spot! All that fake and flaw shit you were doing!"she yelled. People were now looking at us.
"The bitch Giana is the one who killed me, but you act like you didn't even try to come looking for me. You crawled right on Tay's dick, you just couldn't help yourself." Her words dripped from her lips like venom.I sat there and realized that I had a choice to make. "I'm in,"I said effortlessly. She was threatening to kill Tay if I didn't help her kill Gigi. I didn't like the bitch anyway so why not.
"Glad we could agree, I'll text you in two weeks with the deets," she said. I nodded my head wondering how she was going to get my number.Ali
I walked into the house and the delightful smell of Lasgna hit my nose. The grumbling of my stomach agreed and signaled that it was time to eat. I walked into the kitchen to see Gigi bent over into the oven. She stood up but still hadn't noticed me. I admired her full figure as she walked over to the chicken on the stove. I walked silently behind her and gripped her waist.
"ALI! You scared me!" she screamed.
"I bet I did, I see you in here throwing down," I said.
"Yes, Lasagna and fried chicken," she said.
"Can't wait to savor that flavor," I said.
She swatted me with the towel and started to laugh, "You mad corny."
"Yeah? Yeah come your ass here, " I said As I chased her around the kitchen.
We stopped running around like kids and took a breather.
"So have you decided when you wanted the wedding?" I asked.
"Soon, I just want to take my time, ya know?"
I nodded my head, "Anything for you Giana."Gigi
After Ali and I ate I decided to take a long got bubble bath. Allie had been blowing me up all day but I've been so occupied with fiance' duties that I never got back to her. She would normally show up to the house so after this bath I'll talk to her.
Ali had fallen asleep so I guess this peace and serenity would be prolonged. I still couldn't stop thinking about the fact that I could have been a mother, someones protector. All the events that have transpired within these years have been crazy. I just wonder if everything would go smoothly from now on. I've faced so many battles, even murdered my best friend in the process but she deserves every single bit if it.
I was deep in my thoughts when the doorbell rang. Ali was dead to the world so I knew he wouldn't hear a thing. I got out of the tub and slipped on my robe. I walked down the stairs into the grand foyer and peeked through the peepehole.
I smiled once I saw Allie's face. I opened the door and she barged through like she was being chased.
"Girl! What is your issue?" I asked.
"Why havn't you answered my calls?" she asked. She was looking around like she was scared.
"I've been on fiance duties," I said proudly.
"Where is my brother?" she asked.
"Um, sleep," I said. Now I was confused.
"Good,"she said. She grabbed me by my arm and practically dragged me into the living room. "Have you been getting any notes? Any weird ass messages?"
I shook my head trying to gain some memory, "Um no."
She extended her hand out to me and she gave me a slip of paper. Her eyes were bulged as if she'd seen a ghost, I grabbed the paper and opened it."Eenie, meenie, minie, moe, both of you hoes have got to go," I read outloud. "Is this some sort of sick joke of yours?"
She snatched the note from me and rolled her eyes, "No but taste this."
She held out the note again but this time I noticed purple smudges. I dipped my finger on then and tasted it.
"Um sweet, that's grape jam," I said.
"Exactly," Allie said as she stressed her words. I looked confused and Allie looked fed up. "I found this note this morning on my door step, bitch nobody says jam anymore it's grape jelly. JELLY!"
My body tensed up and fear trickled through my veins.
"I thought you killed her!" Allie screamed.
"I did!" I yelled back.
"Did you check her pulse afterwards? Be honest, did you?" Allie asked. I thought for a minute and that's when it came to me. ."no".
"Shit," Allie said. She jumped up and walked towards the door. "This about to be a whole lot of bullshit. Like even though she deserved that shit, this time we can't see where she's coming from."I couldn't believe the bitch survived. I was afraid because I wouldn't see her coming but in order to know I would have to think like Jelly.
