This year was your first year of high school. With your best friend Ruby.
"Y/N rubys here." Your mom yells and I zip my skirt up and run down stairs.
"Hey rubs!!" I say and she smiles, "hey Y/N, are you ready my mom is gonna bring us."
"Wait I want a picture." Your mom says making you both groan.
"Mom stop." You whine as she pulls both you and Ruby in the living room.
"Smile girls." She says and you fake smile.
"Okay bye," she says and pushes you both out of the door.
"Are you nervous?" I ask Ruby as her mom starts driving, "no, there might be some cute girls there." She smirks and I scoff and roll my eyes.
"You would say that." I say and she laughs,
But inside my stomach tingled, what she didn't know was that I've had a crush on her for the longest.
"Okay girls, have a good day." Her mom said and Ruby pulled my arm.
Three years later.
"Watch it!!" Ruby yelled as I bumped into her.
"You bumped into me asshole." I snapped and walked away to my friends.
You are probably wondering what happened since freshman year.
Well since then Ruby started dating a girl named, Hilary Thompson. She made Ruby stop talking to me, them sophomore year we both started yelling at eachother.
But if it wasn't for Hilary she would still be my best friend.
She knew a lot of things, things that I never even told my other friends.
"It's okay Y/N you won't see her after graduation." My friend Sarah says and I nod.
Three years later.
Senior year was coming to an end as I was getting ready for graduation.
Last I heard about Ruby and Hilary was that they broke up.

"Are you ready?" My mom said and I nodded And we walked outside.
I saw Ruby and her mom walking out of their house.
"Hey Y/M/N!!" Katia said and your mom smiled and waved as she put my cap and gown in the back seat.
"Hey girl." My mom said and I closed the door ignoring the girl who used to be my best friend.
We got to school and I saw my friend jasmine.
"Jasmine!!" I yelled and hugged her tightly as my mom made me put on my cap and gown.
"Thanks mom." I say and she left to go meet the rest of my family.
"Let's go." Jasmine said and we rushed to go see our class.
"Y/N L/N!!" The principal yelled and I heard my family scream along with my friends as I walked on stage.
"Congratulations!!" He said as I shook his hand.
"Thank you." I said and smiled,
"RUBY LANGENHIEM!!" He yelled and I clapped and kinda yelled, Ruby looked at me and smiled a bit.
When the ceremony was almost over he said, "this year has been one of the best. Yes I say this every year. But anyway congratulations class of 1995!!"
I cheered and threw my cap in the air.
"We're adults!!" Jasmine said and I giggled and hugged her.
"Y/N." I heard and turned around to see Ruby, "Ruby." I said and she grabbed my face and kissed me, "what was that for?" I asked and she said, "I... I never thought that I could feel this way, but it's you. It has always been you."
She brought me closer to her as everyone around us cheered, "where did this come from?"
"This morning, I mean I knew I felt like this before but the way you cheered even though I treated you like shit. It was worth it, because I wouldn't have had enough courage to kiss you." She ended and I smiled and grabbed her head and pushed my lips on hers grabbing her long black hair.
"I KNEW IT!!" Jasmine yelled which made us both laugh and walk to our family holding hands.
