The Figure

Chris was doodling, but kept looking down at the clock at 00:10:09, situated between a dagger and a clock at 32:04:06:02:09:13:57.

He was an artist, but right now he had absolutely no inspiration, and was more fixated on his clocks than anything else.

He had no clue how a soulmate would find him, he was alone in the middle of nowhere.

Thunder boomed outside as a flash of lightning illuminated his study even more than his electric lights.

He looked back at the clock: 00:04:06 above 32:04:06:02:09:07:54.

He continued feverishly drawing, not even paying attention to what he was doing. He was now focusing on the doors and the windows, wondering if his soulmate was a catburglar.

00:00:25

He looked down at what he'd draw, and saw he'd drawn the most anatomically correct figure he'd ever been able to in his life. It was a tall, lanky woman with a short sundress and an umbrella. Her eyes were big, her feet covered in what might have been dirt, but he couldn't tell, because everything he saw was in black and white.

Rain pattered insistently against the blurry window.

There was a knock on the door.

00:00:011

He walked to the door in a daze, and opened it to meet the eyes of a tall, lanky woman clutching an umbrella to herself, attempting to keep it from blowing away. Her short pink sundress was soaked and clinging to her, and her sandaled feet were covered with grass stains, Chris realizing he'd just mowed the day before and she'd walked through his very wet yard.

Her big hazel eyes seemed to twinkle in the light from the entry way. That's when Chris realized he'd been staring at her for a good minute, wondering how it was possible that he'd drawn her not even ten minutes before, leaving her standing in the rain.

So what'd you guys think of this one? Sorry it was so short.

Hahahahahahaha, no I'm not.

But seriously, it was super freaking short, probably the shortest yet. (Don't worry, I promise not to write one shorter, the stories range from 300 to 2000)

Voting and feedback is EXCELLENT and you guys should DO IT :D

All you have to do is comment or message me about anything I should change or add or whatever, especially if I make grammar mistakes!!
