Monsta X ~ Kihyun ~ Angst

Today was a special day, "(y/n)!" I hear Kihyun call. I smile and run over to him, raising my dress up a bit so I wouldn't trip. "Today's that day! I can't wait!" he says excitedly, I smile at his excitement. "You can do it! If I can, then you can!" I say, encouraging him. "You look beautiful" he says, I smile and look at my dress. It's white with small lace and flower decorations. "You look quite handsome yourself" I say, fixing his bow tie. "Oh! It's almost time!" He says, rushing off the stage's steps and into another room. The smile on my face fades. Today was the wedding. "(y/n)! hurry!" they call, rushing me into the room opposite of Kihyun's.

The doors open up and I start walking down the aisle, footsteps moving with the slow beat of the music. I look at Kihyun and smile, and he smiles back. I make my way to the side of the stage, standing and watching him. And he stares at me too, with the bright smile of his. Suddenly, confetti is sprung out and a girl starts walking down the aisle until she is standing in front of Kihyun. The smile on their faces are bright and full of happiness. Soon, before I know it they kiss and everyone's cheering. A small smile grows on my face and everyone rushes to the stage and congratulates the newlywed couple.

I make my way out of the overly crowded room and into the lobby, taking in a deep breath, I close my eyes. Then open them again to see no one. A sad smile grows on my face, "(y/n)!" I hear, I turn to see Kihyun. "Ah, Hyun! Congratulations! It's official now!" I say, forcing a smile and patting him on the back. He smiles "You're next (y/n)!" he says, then walks back into the main room. I was happy. For them. I make my way to the dressing rooms and change into my normal clothing. Leaving the dress with a note.

Not wanting to be noticed, I leave out of the back exit. Every step I take feels heavy, and my heart feels heavier. After a long while, I finally enter my apartment, kicking off my shoes and dropping my bags on the floor. I walk past the, now, empty room. My heart shattering when I realize he's left something. I make my way to the said item and pick it up. Tears start streaming out and I hold the item close to me. He really is gone...

Months pass and he hasn't contacted me since. I take out a box from under my bed, opening it and finding sharp silver tools. My phone lights up and a message is shown.

Kihyun: I'm coming

More tears spill, and the tool on my wrist cuts into my skin. Causing a red liquid to slip down my arm and onto the wooden floor I was sitting on. I push the small blade deeper and harder, feeling all the pain I've felt, disappearing. The knife guides me to new and uncut places. Creating more cuts and causing the red liquid to pool on the ground, tears mixed in. My vision blurs and everything turns black. "I'm sorry"

Kihyun unlocks the apartment door and enters, "(y/n)?" he calls out. He sees a string of light coming from her room and makes his way there. "Hey (y/n)-" he stops and his eyes are wide. "(y/n)!" he yells, rushing to her side. Not knowing, tears slid down his cheeks. Then he spots a letter, hesitantly he takes the sheet of paper and reads it.

Kihyun,

I'm sorry I didn't stay long enough. Seeing you with her on that day... Was the day I broke, because that day. I realized I had lost you. I remember when I made the promise to stop harming myself. I'm sorry. I can't help it, it feels good. It takes so much of the pain away... I love you Kihyun, I just never told you. I never had the chance to, and I'm sorry it had to end like this. Have a great life.

The name on the bottom was smeared due to the tears that was shed while being written. Kihyun was a sobbing mess, the letter was held close to his heart. "I'm sorry" he sobs, taking (y/n)'s lifeless body into his arms. Her skin was cold and pale, her wrists and arms are cut open, spilling blood onto the ground, and now on Kihyun's clothing. "I love you too" Kihyun whimpers, pecking (y/n)'s cold forehead. "I love you too".

But it was too late.
