Jungkook's POV:

I lick my cup clean and look at the time, 10:05 pm. The guy's go to bed in two hours. I already texted Laura that I'll still be at the party. She said that she had came up with a plan to come, told her parents that she's sleeping over at a friend's place to study. I guess they were just happy to hear that their daughter made friends during her first week at school and allowed it. Meanwhile, I know she hasn't made much friends in class. In fact, I'm kind of the only one who talks to her. I can tell that the guy's are jealous of me, and the girl's are jealous of her. Because I've been known as the guy who won't talk to girls no matter what. And then it all changed when Laura came. I can't explain what I'm feeling. I've never felt this way before about someone. 

"Did you finish your homework Kookie?," Rapmonster asks. "I did." "He's telling the truth," Jin says. I need to be careful with my thoughts around Jin. But he really only reads my thoughts when he feels like that he needs to. "Good." "Can I go outside?" "No." "How come?" "The weather is crap and I'm not risking you getting sick." "Oh come on," I groan. "You know well that you have the lowest immune system, I'm not risking it." Right. Another reason as to why Rapmonster is the most strict on me. I get sick the easiest and we don't know why. Even when the guys were my age, they didn't easily get sick. Which reminds me, I have to bring my umbrella tonight to avoid getting sick. "Just stay inside, play some video games or something." I let out a sigh, "fine." Rapmonster leaves the room and Jin pats my shoulder, "you know he's only tough on you because he cares about you." "Yeah yeah." Rapmonster is the dad and Jin is the mom in our clan. And when they're not around, they leave Suga in charge. And when Suga is in charge, he gets scary quick. "He does Jungkook, you're young, and have a lot to learn." "But sometimes I feel like he treats me more as a little kid. I'm a teenager, not a child." "You're the youngest, and-" "And I'm the one who will most likely go on a blood rampage," I mumble. "I'm going up to my room."

I jump down from my window and land on the ground. Good thing I'm good at climbing. The house has been quiet for a while now, so I took it as my chance to leave. I open the umbrella and check my jacket. I can't risk getting sick, or Rapmonster is going to know something is up. I run off to my friend's house, thank god I can run fast. I finally reach it and I hear music blasting. I go up and open the front door, music filling my ears. I walk in and look around, everyone from class and other students from our grade are here. "Jungkook!," I hear my friends yell and they gather around me. "Glad you could make it!" "What's the umbrella and jacket for!?" "Weather is crap!" I take off my jacket and they take the umbrella and jacket away. "Enjoy yourself! And don't be afraid to dance with some of the girls," they grin at me. I shake my head and laugh. "You guys are crazy." Besides, there's only one girl I want to talk to. The guys walk off but one. "If you're looking for Laura, I suggest you find her now." "Why?" "No one is really talking to her besides Hyeon." "Shit." "So you know what he's trying to do." "Okay, I'll go find her." Hyeon can get too much at some points. 

I walk through the house and finally find Laura sitting in a corner holding a plastic cup. Oh fuck. She looks so cute. And I love the giant bow she has on top of her head. She pushes up her glasses and stares down into her cup. I go up to her, "Laura," I say with a smile. She looks up at me and smiles. "You finally made it!" "I did! It just took a while to sneak out!" "You snuck out!?" "I did!" She holds up her cup and looks at me confused. "Hyeon gave this to me! But it smells funny!" I take the cup from her and put it down. "Don't drink it!" "Why!?" "Just trust me!" I take her hand and walk away, Hyeon I swear. I walk her to the back porch, "finally I can hear normal," she laughs and I smile at that. "Why did you bring me out here?" "I just wanted to be able to talk. Since we don't get much time in school." "I like that idea." I look over what she's wearing, so cute. A baby pink sweater, white pleated skirt, and pink Converse. Her hair still in the braids, and still wearing her thick black glasses. "So Laura, tell me more about yourself."

"No way! You like that group too!?," she says shocked. I can't help but laugh, "I swear!" "I barely meet people who likes the bands as me!" "Well you met me!" We have a lot in common. We're into the same music, video games, she wants to learn how to skateboard and I told her that I can teach her sometime. I've never met another girl like her... "Say Laura, do you want to go inside and dance for a bit?" "Um. Sure." I hold her hand and walk her inside, we go into the living room where the most people are dancing. It's a fast song so we don't need to have body contact. I follow the beat, I grin while I bite my lower lip and dance. People cheer for me and she stares at me in shock. People in class knows that I'm the best dancer. "Come on! Dance!," I tell her. "I-I'm a stiff dancer! I look awkward!" "It's okay! Just have fun!" The song switches to a slow song and we stare at each other for a few seconds. I look past her and I see Hyeon eyeing her. Shit. I can't let him get to her. 

I quickly pull her close and she squeaks. "Jungkook?" Hyeon glares at me and stays where he is. "Do you know how to slow dance?" "I've never slow danced before." I move one of her hands to be on my shoulder, I hold the other, and place my hand on her waist. Oh god.. Oh god... This is the closes that I've ever been to a girl... But I have to keep Hyeon away from her.. I sway us a bit and turn in slow circles. "You're doing great," I smile down at her and she blushes. "I just feel so awkward." "It's okay, we're all awkward." She rests her head on my chest and I freeze up a bit. "Thanks for being my friend Jungkook."

I can't find my jacket and umbrella anywhere! "What's wrong Jungkook?," she asks. "I just can't find my umbrella and jacket." The guys hid them somewhere, probably in hopes to keep me here over night. But I can't. The guys wake up in a few hours. "I have an umbrella we can share, I texted my mom that I'm coming home from the sleep over. I know she'll see the text when she wakes up." "Where's your place?" She tells me and I think it over. It's not that far from where I live... What if I walk her home... "How about I walk you home, you're not that far from where I live." "Really?" "Yeah, and plus I can't let you walk home alone this late." "Thanks Jungkook." We walk outside and she opens her umbrella. With how small her umbrella is, I have to be right next to her with my body pressed to hers. I gulp at it and walk with her. "I had a lot of fun tonight Jungkook. I was kind of bored when you weren't there." "I had fun as well, I'm glad that you went." We finally reach her house, "this is where I live. Now you know where to find me." "No problem in that." "Um, well night Jungkook." She squeezes my hand at that and my heart skips a bit. What am I feeling!? 

"Night Laura." She runs into her house and I feel the rain hit me. Shit! Thank god for my speed. The rain is pounding on me, it had to get harder while we were walking home. I finally make it to the house, climb up, and get in my bedroom. I quickly get out of my wet clothes and put them in the laundry basket. I dry myself off and then get into dry clothes. Hopefully, this is enough. I get into bed and smile to myself. I got to actually spend time with Laura tonight. And I don't regret it.

*Next Morning*

I cough really hard and I feel really hot. I groan and pull on my hair a bit. "Jungkook!?"," I hear Jimin yell from outside of my bedroom. "Rapmonster! I think Jungkook is sick!" My quickly opens and I see Rapmonster run in looking worried. He touches my forehead, "shit Jungkook. You're burning up." I feel like crap. Apparently that run in the rain last night was enough to get me sick. I groan in discomfort, "you're staying in bed today. And tomorrow if you're still sick." "But we have school tomorrow," I groan and close my eyes. "Not if you're sick. Your hunger is riskier when you're sick. Jin, get the medicine." Jin nods and runs out, the guys look at me worried. "Sorry for worrying you guys," I groan. "Did you not listen to me and go outside last night?" I nod and cough a bit more. He groans and pats my head. "Nothing I can do now. I guess you being sick is your punishment. Rest easy." Jin comes back in with the medicine, "Jin will take care of you." "Where are you going?" "We just have stuff to do today." "Like what?" "Well some of us have jobs, and others have house work." "True." I try to sit up but Jin keeps me down. I hope I get better tomorrow, I don't want Laura to worry about me.
