Jungkook's POV:

I walk into the classroom, I was out of school for a few days. "Jungkook!," my friends yell and run up to me. "How are you feeling?" "We never heard from you." "I'm fine, and my dad told me to not contact anyone with how sick I was." "Sorry if you going out for the party is what got you sick." "It's fine, I promise. I just spent too much time in the rain for my own good." "And we hid your umbrella and jacket," one mumbles. I pat his shoulder and he looks at me, "I promise. It's fine. I would just like to have my stuff back." I look at Laura's desk and smile to myself. "Excuse me." I walk past them and go over to her, she's busy writing something. I stand in front of her, "miss me?" She slowly looks up at me and smiles, "feeling better Jungkook?" "I am." I grab her stuff and she looks up at me confused. I sit on her desk and grin down at her. The only thing I like about being sick, I feel so much better afterwards. All of my energy is fresh and strong. She slightly blushes and takes her stuff from me. "So, did you miss me?" "I did. It was a little lonely without you here." "I was lonely too. But I did enjoy your cookies. I love that you called me Kookie." "I thought it would be funny, to make it as a pun." "I liked it." I look up and I see the guys eyeing me. I know that some of them like her, and I am aware that the girls are staring at us. This is what happens when I'm one of the most popular guys in school.

I hold her hand and pull her into the cafeteria with me while walking with the guys. I have to make it look like that I'm sitting with my friends as well, not just her. Rapmonster said that I could sit with my friends since I've been sick. I look over at them and quickly go to a table with everyone. I have her sit next to me, so far, it doesn't look like Rapmonster suspects a thing. "Not eating Jungkook?," she asks. "I'm not hungry." "But you just got over being sick. You should eat." "I promise I'm fine." See, we can eat human food, but it does nothing for us. It won't solve our appetites, give us strength, nothing. We mainly just eat it for the taste. I guess that's how we get away with being human so easily. I know Jin enjoys human food though. "I'm going to get my lunch," she tells me and leaves. 

"So when are you going to ask her out?," one asks. "What do you mean?" "Oh come on, it's obvious that you like her." "I don't like her." "Oh yes you do. You never left her side at the party, you walked her home, and as soon as you saw her in class, you never left her. You so like her." "And we can tell that she likes you back." I gulp at that. "Even the girls have noticed you two." "And I don't care what they think." "Dude, if you don't ask her out soon, someone else will." "Like who?" "See, you so like her. You would only ask that if you liked her." "Anyways, there are other guys in this school that's interested in her. So if you don't act fast, you'll lose her." I don't like her. I can't like her. I literally can't like her. I'm not allowed to be with a human girl. I see her run back to us, a smile on her face. She sits down by me, "here Jungkook, I got you some soup." She sets the bowl and spoon down in front of me and I smile at her. "Thanks. But I told you that I wasn't hungry." "You just got over being sick, you need to eat." I feel my heart skip a beat and I gulp. I've never felt this way before until I met her.

I wrap my arms around her from behind and she squeals. She looks up at me and smiles. "Why did you just back hug me?" "Because I've been wanting to for a long time," I say with a smile. It's been a few days since the the guys told that they can tell that I like her. I've been trying to be cautious, but I always find myself around her more and holding her in different ways. I just love having her in my arms and holding her hands. I just feel happier with her around. I look up and I see my friends down the hallway. It's also been difficult to hide this from the guys at home. They're not stupid. They know something is up.

*Few days later*

"I'm going to ask Laura out," I hear one of my friends say and my head shoots up. "Good luck man," my friends say. He lets out a nervous sigh, "I've been wanting to ask her out for a while now. She's so smart and kind, I hope she says yes to my confession." Fuck.. Fuck.. What do I do? They were right... Someone was going to ask her out if I didn't. I see her walk into the cafeteria and she see's me and smiles. I look over at the guys and they're staring at me. They know we've gotten closer. "I-I'll be back." "What are you doing?" "Nothing." One of them grabs my jacket when I stand up. "You're asking her out. Aren't you." "Um..." He rubs his neck and looks down. "Just ask her out. Besides, it's obvious she only likes you." "Now go." He lets go of me and I run up to her. "Hey Laura, can I talk to you outside?" "Sure." I grab her hand and walk her out into the hallway. I let out a deep breath and bounce a bit. "Jungkook, what is it?" I stare at her, she's so perfect for me. I've never met another girl like her. Fuck the rules. "Laura... Will you go out with me?" She freezes at that and stares up at me shocked. "I've liked you for a while now, and I really want to be with you, not just as friends. But as boyfriend and girlfriend." Please say yes... 

She plays with her braids a bit, she's nervous. "I know you're nervous. You don't have to say yes right now." I gently hold her hands to calm her down. She looks up at me and gives me a small smile. "Yes." I smile big at that, "really?" "Yeah. I've liked you for a while too." "I'm so happy to hear that." She stands on her toes, "what are you doing?" "Lean down." I lean down and she kisses my cheek. I freeze at that and she giggles. "Are you going to kiss me back?" "Um, how about on our first date." I'm really nervous in kissing her. It's too close to her neck... Don't think like that Jungkook! Or you can't see her again... "Okay, I can wait." "I'm glad to hear that." "Let's go eat." "Yeah, I'm starving." I walk her back into the cafeteria and I see them staring at me. They know something is up.
