Phil's POV
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~
I scramble to pull my keys out of my jacket pocket and unlock the flat.  I walk inside and glance at the clock on the stove.  16:04, about an hour and a half.  I wasn't gone too long.  I will admit that I was sidetracked in the candy aisle for at least 10 minutes but besides that I did quite well!  What can I say, I was a man on a mission.

   I hang up my coat in the hall closet (right next to my sexuality).  I begin to unpack the things that I got from the grocery store.  Ground beef, cheese (for Dan), lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, sour cream, flour tortillas, hard taco shells, taco seasoning, and a few limes.  There was also a box of Maltesers that I bought specially for Dan.  You know how much everyone ships Dantesers...

   I go into the kitchen and start cooking up the meal for when Dan returns.

{A/N: I usually hate time skips but I really didn't want to type up a detailed description of Phil making an elaborate Mexican feast... K thanks...}

   I'm cleaning up the mess I made while cooking.  I know that the last thing that Dan would want right now is a massive mess.  I'm interrupted by my phone buzzing.  It's a text from Dan!  I unlock my phone to read it.

From: Danny Boy ;-)
My flight landed early! I'm taking a cab home right now, see you in 10. xx

   Oh shoot, he's already almost back!  I quickly finish cleaning up the mess and go to sit on the couch.  I sit and wait for him.  I'm practically constantly checking my phone for the time. 17:31... 17:32... 17:33... That's it, I'm waiting outside for him. I go outside to meet him... Right as I walk outside Dan's cab shows up. I'm ecstatic to see him! He opens the door and I look at him in shock...

"Dan..?" I say skeptically. His brown eyes look up at me, still sitting in the car. "Erm, you tanned quite a bit didn't you..." I said, trying my best not to offend him. He obviously tanned; he practically looked a different race! He blushed. Guilt immediately rushed over me. "No! It doesn't look bad, it's just different. I wasn't expecting... This." I say, trying my best to explain myself. He stood up and grabbed me by the hips, pulling me in for a deep kiss. I stood there in shock while he grabbed his bag out of the trunk of the car.

"Shall we?" Dan said to me gesturing towards the doorway. I nod and begin leading him up to the flat. I almost forgot about the surprise! We walk up a few flights of stairs to make it to the door of our flat. I take his bag from him.

"Close your eyes..." I said sternly, looking deep into his eyes.

"B-but..." Dan tried to speak but I interrupted.

"Close them!" I snapped. He rolled his eyes at me and smirked. I opened the door and guided him inside. The flat smelt wonderful. There is no way that he doesn't know what the surprise is but it's the gesture that matters in this situation. "Okay, you can open your eyes now." I was so excited for him to see what I'd put my entire day into doing. He opened his eyes and looked very surprised, but not necessarily in a good way. "D-Dan? Is something wrong..?" I murmured.

"Erm, no everything is perfect!" he said fakely. I could tell the difference between genuine surprise and, well... That, whatever it was.

"No, Dan what's wrong? I won't be offended if you say that you don't like it. Just please be honest with me..." I said. I was honestly concerned for his health at the moment.
