The Taco Fic

Chapter 1

Phil's POV

Dan is coming home today from visiting Sicily with his family. I never thought I could possibly miss someone more than I missed Dan while he was away. Dan and I have been together for just over a year but just bought a flat together a few months back. The flat felt so warm and welcoming when Dan was around. Without him here it felt cold and empty; I barely recognized it as my own home... I was beyond excited to see Dan again. I miss his brown, loving eyes that make me feel like I'm the only boy that he has ever loved. I miss his warm, pale skin; so smooth and beautiful. He would embrace me in a way that made me feel safe and cared for. I miss his brown, shiny fringe that frames his beautiful face perfectly. I miss pressing his soft pink lips against my own in a moment of pure bliss. The man that I love has been away for seven days, which feels like an eternity. I'm not good at elaborate surprises or romantic gestures but I felt that I had to do something for him as we haven't seen each other for a week.

He would be home in a matter of hours so I had to think fast... What does Dan love... (Besides me, obviously... ;-D). He loves llamas... He loves Muse... Got it! I need to get Muse to show up at our flat while riding llamas! Ugh, no... Not enough time. What else could I possibly do? Erm, he loves tacos! Yeah, I could make us a whole taco buffet and set it up on our breakfast bar! It would be perfect! Dan has been flying all day, there's no way that he isn't hungry. That would be a perfect welcome home gift! We could eat tacos and watch Anime. This sounds perfect! I have 4 hours to pull this together. That seems like a lot of time but I know that it'll take longer than expected. I quickly pull on my coat and walk to the train station so I could take the tube to Tesco.

The train finally arrived. I scanned my Oyster card and took a seat near the back. I pulled out my phone to make a list of what I need to buy. I take a second to look at my lock screen which is a selfie that Dan took on my phone while I wasn't looking. My daydream was interrupted by a buzzing of my phone. I had gotten a text from Dan!  I was visibly smiling.  I unlocked my phone and read his text.

I quickly replied.

   I turned off my phone and slipped it into my coat pocket.  I really needed that.  I'm so much more excited for not only the surprises, but to see Dan. I'm getting butterflies in my stomach. He misses me too.
