Alex's mind and body are thoroughly exhausted as he dozes in and out of consciousness. Head supported up against the window of the car, he watches as the scenery passes by in a blur while Eagle drives them home. It's hard to believe that it's only been a week since they were gone, but it feels like an eternity. Alex loved visiting his old unit, allowing himself a brief reprise from forcing a character. Just living in the moment without worrying about any secrets. But there's something about Forks and letting myself just have a "normal" teenage life
His relationship with K-Unit is much better than what it was when initially first met, pretty much anything would've been better. But after some NDA's (Non-Disclosure Agreement) and a couple introductions they soon grew to have a mutual hatred of the Hell that is Brecon Breaches.
"Are we almost there yet?" Alex mumbles, barely managing to lift his heavy head from the window to look at Eagle.
"Almost, do you want to pick up some food? We're gonna pass that taco place you and Tom like" he offers, equally exhausted as the teen is. "Want to give Tom a call and ask what he wants?"
"Yeah, he should be home by now. It's almost 7pm" Alex takes out his phone and speed dials Tom.
"Ring....Ring....Ri- Heeeeeeelloooooo?"
"Heeeeeey, we're almost home but we're gonna pick up some tacos. What do you want?"
"Just get me my usual, but can you get an extra side of guac?"
"Kay, we'll be there in 20."
"Sounds good, that gives me enough time to hide all the monkey's I bought."
"Oh, just put them in Eagle's room. He won't care." He glances at Eagle with a smirk on his face.
"Eagle won't care what?" Said man exclaims, turning to look at Alex with a small frown.
"Nooooothing. Bye, Tom."
"Hehe see you later."
Hanging up the phone, Alex gives Eagle a smirk at his disgruntled look. "It doesn't concern you, don't worry about it."
"Doesn't concern me?" He scoffs, "Then what did you tell him to put in my room?"
"Like I said, doesn't concern you." Luckily enough they pull into the small restaurant, so he can avoid the topic. "I'll go order!" Alex yells while jumping out of the car and dashing inside.
Pointedly ignoring Eagle's curses behind him.
Even though they just moved here only recently, the owners still know Alex and Tom because the two teens go there so often. It's not much, but tacos every Tuesday and Friday really help to make you a regular. That and the fact that they bring them so much business because of the ridiculous appetite the teens have.
Leaning against a wall by the pick-up counter, Alex lets his head fall back with a soft thud and closes his eyes. A week-long reunion, as fun as it may be, really exhausts you. All his limbs ache and the long car ride back hadn't helped him stretch it out. Alex would sit down, especially since nobody is here besides him, but the thought of sitting after the long car ride doesn't appeal to him.
He finds himself dozing off, barely aware of his surroundings, when a hand is placed on his arm. Jerking up, Alex snaps his eyes open and prepares to defend myself. Lashing out a hand, he goes to punch them when his hand is stopped by a familiar, cold hand.
"Easy there, shorty." Edward says with an easy smile on his face.
"Oh, Edward you scared me." Alex mutters while giving him a small smile of his own.
